Wakefit — Warranty doesn't cover the chair base - Exercise caution before buying

Website:wakefit.co

I bought an office chair in April 2023 (for 7181 INR) post buying a mattress, beanbag, and a mattress cover. After reading about their good employee policies and in an effort to support local Indian products, I went ahead to buy the chair. Noticed the headrest was broken and backrest wasn't stable after two days o[censored]se. They replaced both.
After about five months of fair use, the chair base broke and I fell down. Tried to call the customer care, sent emails, and created a ticket on their website with a video of the broken base. They reverted after a day.
After checking the video, they closed the ticket saying it's a customer defect. (How can someone say that without physically inspecting the product!) Customer care escalated the issue after my repeated requests - after me saying that I'd go to the Consumer Court.
When we open the ticket, they'd call us. If we are unable to pick up the phone, they'd close the ticket instantly saying 'lack of response from the customer.'
Escalation team closed the ticket and asked me to pay 800 INR for a replacement wheelbase as the warranty doesn't cover it.
Their website doesn't mention 'Chair base isn't covered' on the orders page.
Purchase date: April 3
The chair broke: September 17
