I am writing to express my extreme dissatisfaction with the highly unprofessional and negligent service being provided by Whirlpool regarding the repair of my refrigerator, which remains non-functional despite multiple service visits and an active Comprehensive Extended Warranty/AMC Plan.
The cooling problem in the refrigerator started approximately 15-20 days ago. After registering a complaint, a technician visited and attempted some repairs, but the issue remained unresolved.
Subsequently, on 04 August 2026, the technician replaced the refrigerator's PCB. Shockingly, after the PCB replacement, the refrigerator completely stopped working and there was absolutely no cooling.
I immediately registered a fresh complaint on 05 August 2026. Another technician visited on 07 August 2026 and made the following alarming observations:
1. The refrigerator has a gas leakage issue.
2. The PCB installed by the previous technician was the wrong PCB and did not belong to my refrigerator model.
3. Due to the wrong PCB installation, the compressor was not functioning properly.
It is shocking and unacceptable that an authorized Whirlpool technician installed an incorrect PCB, resulting in further damage and complete breakdown of the refrigerator. This clearly reflects a serious lapse in technical competence and service quality.
Today is 14 August 2026, and despite repeated follow-ups, the required parts have not been arranged and the refrigerator remains unrepaired. My family has been suffering immense inconvenience for over a week without a functioning refrigerator during the peak summer season. Food items have spoiled repeatedly, causing financial loss and significant hardship.
What is even more disappointing is that this entire ordeal is taking place despite my refrigerator being covered under a Comprehensive Extended Warranty/AMC Plan, for which I have paid specifically to avoid such situations. Unfortunately, the service experience has been nothing short of negligent and frustrating.
I therefore demand the following:
1. Immediate arrangement of all required spare parts and completion of the repair on priority.
2. A detailed explanation regarding the incorrect PCB installation by the first technician.
3. Accountability for the delay and inconvenience caused.
4. Compensation/appropriate service goodwill gesture for the prolonged downtime, food spoilage, and mental harassment suffered by my family.
5. Confirmation of a definite resolution plan at the earliest.
If this matter is not resolved immediately, I will be compelled to escalate the issue further through the appropriate consumer grievance channels and consumer protection authorities, as the current level of service falls far below acceptable standards expected from a reputed brand like Whirlpool.
I request your urgent intervention and a written response on priority.
