[Resolved]  Whirlpool India — split ac issue - inefficient service centre

I purchased whirlpool 3d cool in september 2017.
Within a year gas leaked twice and also indoor unit got water blockage twice.

During first year warranty engineer came and do some temporary fixes like gas top-up and clean pipes. They never investigated the problem properly.

On october 2018 just a month after warranty expired same problem occurred, gas leaked and water block. This time engineer said that the indoor unit coil has leakage problem and needs to be welded. Ideally he should have detected this earlier and replace the unit when it was in warranty but they never diagnosed it.

I ended up paying 4000 for welding and gas.

Now it's 10 months only after that repair and ac has same gas leakage issue again. Now engineer is saying they need to do welding again but there is no garuntee how long it will work. So engineer and his service centre manager is suggesting to replace the entire unit. They want me to buy a new indoor unit to fix problem. They just want me to pay money.

Whirlpool has incompetent staff at call centre.
When i ask call centre to help he said you need to pay and replace the unit. I have the entire conversation recorded on my phone.

My question is why your engineer didn't diagnosed the problem when this product was within the warranty and should have been replaced. Why they keep filling the gas.

Now question to whirlpool, how can you help me been a loyal customer? I bought multiple products from whirlpool but looks like there is no point.

Buying a new unit solves the problem, but my question is why should i pay? It's a common sense. I can buy any ac to solve the problem but end up having hole in my wallet.

I want to know how whirlpool can help me out in this matter. Remember you'll not only loose a customer forever but it always have a ripple effect.

As per my latest discussion with whirlpool customer care, 1 Ton indoor unit is not available in the stock and they don't know by when company can have it available in the stock.

As an alternate they ask me to buy 1.5 Ton indoor unit. Of course, I have to pay 14K for the indoor unit replacement. The logic they gave me is it will upgrade your AC.

This is totally unacceptable. Anyone knows that the capacity of ac depends on the compressor which is the outdoor unit. Without replacing the outdoor unit how can you upgrade? This is an incompetent / uninformed answer from the whirlpool customer executive.

Also, I am sure the cost of indoor unit of 1.5Ton is definitely more than the cost of 1Ton.

I have just over two year old AC and company has no spare parts or replacement available for it? And also asking me to pay extra money that does not even meet my requirements.

Does anyone from the company has any genuine solution for my problem?

Worst problem resolution. Purchased new AC for 30k in 2017 Sep. Problem started within 6 months. Service centre did patch works during warranty period. After warranty spent 5k on repairs. Now they tell indoor AC defective can't be fixed. No replacement part available. Asking me to buy new AC replacing old at additional 20K.
