I purchased above washing machine in 2017. Two days back the machine stopped taking water and we requested a service request by calling on the toll free number [protected]. I received a call promptly from the technician and informed him about the problem with the washing machine. Technician came at round 4:00 pm and after checking he said that the inlet valve is not working which needs to be replaced. As i wasn't at home he called me and informed me about the problem. I asked him to replaced for which he said that he has already replaced it and also checked that it is working. I asked for the cost of the valve he said it costs Rs. 2200/- which i felt was too costly. I immediately checked online and said that i see the cost of valve ranges from Rs. 399.00 to Rs.1050.00 he said they all are non branded hence are priced low. Further he said the one he replaced is genunie whirlpool spare part hence it is priced high and has warranty of 6 months. However since we were facing problem i asked him to replace it. The technician didn't show my wife if the spare part he replaced was original and if it was a seal packed item. He left immediately after replacing the item after checking if it was working. My wife paid him Rs.2200.00 for the spare part and Rs.300.00 for his visit charge. He didn't give any bill for the part and for his visit charge not a warranty card for the item he replaced. I think the technican has over charged us and also doubt if he has replaced original whirlpool spare part.
Request to look into this and do the needful.
