Dear team,
I had bought waterproof trekking shoe for my himalayan trekking in the month of may'19. However from the second day (Trekking was in first week of june'19) in the snow there was ice water entering the shoe which made my trek extremely difficult. After the completion of trek i was traveling oversees on work. Immediately after coming back i returned the shoe to the show (Jp nagar, bangalore) where i had bought it. I explained him what happened and said if it cannot last even one trek then this must be returned or replaced. The gentleman at the store took over a month to revert. Couple of days ago i got a call from store saying they cannot replace or return since it's out of warranty (6 months). Firstly, i was not communicated about the warranty and for tough trekking shoe we would expect warranty to be longer than committed.
If the such an expensive shoe doesn't even last for one trek and has the problem for the same purpose it has been purchased, what is the point in buying such a shoe.in fact we would expect it to last for years.
The water marks on the shoe was also shown to the store manager where the leakage had happened and the marks were very much visible even after so months of trek.
Why should we pay for such a sub standard quality of shoes. There was no wear & tear on the shoe or over usage it was purely because of low quality or stitched on the shoe getting loose. All we are asking either replace it or accept the return.
Currently shoe is the custody of jp nagar store.
