Woodland — Complaint regarding the belt I purchased from Woodland | |
Dear Sir/Madam, I purchased a Woodland belt from from their showroom at Mahagun Metro Mall, Vaishali, Ghaziabad on 03/04/2021. After just one month o[censored]se, the belt split at the section where I lock it. The receipt of purchase is in the attachment. The picture of the belt split is also attached for your reference. Since the malls were closed all through May due to lockdown, I could visit the mall to report this incident. However once the malls were open I wen’t there with my damanged belt to show it to them. They gave me a receipt on their letterhead confirming the damage and asked me to write to the Woodland customer care. The receipt of damage is also in the attachment. After several communications to Woodland reporting about the incident, I was asked by customer care to visit Woodland showroom in Mahagun metro mall to get an exchange of the item. I went to their showroom and I liked a belt which was priced at Rs 1722 and asked for it as a replacement for my damaged belt. However since the original belt cost me Rs 2495 I asked for a refund of Rs 773 and if that was not possible I asked them to issue me credit for the balance that I can use in my future purchases from Woodland, but the Woodland representative said that neither refund nor issue of credit for the balance amount is possible. I then said what if I choose an expensive belt. In that case, they said that I will have to pay the excess amount after deducting the cost I had already paid for the damaged belt. This really is an unjustified argument wherein Woodland is asking me to bear the loss while they themselves are not ready to bear even a bit of loss. This really is a shameful act that I never expected from a brand like Woodland. I then wrote to the customer care again mentioning about the above incidence and they reverted to me that I will be issued a refund. However no refund has been issued till this date and I feel cheated by them. I request you to kindly look into this and help me deal with this cheat brand which really does not care about its customers.
