Xiaomi India — Defective Handset | |||
I would like to bring into your notice the horrible experience current I am facing with regards to the Mi4 phone bought and the after sales services. Issue 1: I bought Mi4 (64GB) through flipkart on 12-May-15 which was received on 14-May-15. (Order no.: OD[protected] The phone witnessed hang issue on the night of 09-Aug-15 and immediately after that started auto restart. I was unable to use the phone as it was consistently hanged and was restarting. The phone was not even 90 days old and I was completely unable to use it. I tried and did factory reset of the phone but nothing changed. Finally I thought to visit service center and checked the address and phone numbers from Mi website. Issue 2: Since morning of 10-Aug-15, I tried to call the centralised helpline –[protected] was the number was constantly busy and unreachable. I tried to contact Nehru Road service centre[protected] and Janakpuri Center[protected]DELHI) but both numbers were constantly busy and unreachable. I went to Nehru road center (which was supposed to be exclusive center) all the way 30KMs from my place. After reaching there, the executive told me that it is only receiving center and my phone has software problem which will be handled by Janakpuri center quickly (in 15-20mins). From there I went to Janakpuri Center. On reaching there and waiting for 2 hours for my turn, I was informed by the executive that phone needs to be submitted for atleast 15 days. They denied to inform me that what exactly is the issue. I have made a second visit to the Janakpuri center also, but with no relief. The service center shop was closed. Then I heard a lot of noise that made it look like a fish market and I got to know that it is nothing else but MI Service center shop (that they temporarily took). One month has passed now, I have several times tried to call on Janakpuri centres number and central helpline but both phones remain busy and unreachable. This was the same problem echoed by several other users when I met them at service center. Now I have no clue where my handset is and what exactly is the problem. Moreover, I have been issued jobsheet for mobile repair on ‘Blackberry’ letter head. There was no sign of Xiaomi Mi anywhere in the service center. Honestly, this kind of product quality and after sales service was not at all expected from Xiaomi. I am feeling cheated and deceived. Can’t believe customers are being treated in such a way. I can’t express the trauma and pain I felt visiting the centres and still undergoing. I have spent Rs.22, 000 and I need either full refund or replacement of handset with new one.
