Xiaomi India — defective phone denied to be replaced | |||||
I bought Xiomi MI A2 from amazon it was delivered to me on 4th November 2018. The phone came with one year warranty. 15 days later, I started observing defects in my phone: 1. Mic- Goes silent on calls. i.e. my voice becomes completely inaudible to the receiver. 2. Speaker- The sound distorts intermittently and becomes aweful. I reached out to customer care and seek for replacement .The executive told me that the replacement period is limited to 10 days after delivery of the product and I can claim for repair from any customer care center. But when I read terms and conditions for the mobile handset on MI website (https://mobile.mi.com/in/service/warranty/), It is mentioned that repair or replacement can be done over company's desecration within the warranty period and it is not mentioned anywhere on the handset section of the T&C that the replacement period is limited to 10days only. To confirm this I visited customer care center (at Kondapur, Hyderabad on 23rd November 2018) and the representative there told me that he can change all the mobile parts in order to fix the defects but not replace the product. He doesn't clearly comment on the part that during his action course he will not introduce any new defect. Hence I claim for replacement of the product on the basis of warranty. From past 1 week my mobile battery is draining down fast. I bought my mobile on August 2018 .in 3 months my mobile is working worst. And today I was taking pictures from my camera then suddenly I saw my display was half black and half display was working. Now I realize I had wasted my savings money in this mobile
