My Handset YU 5010 (Yuphoria), is facing a lot of hardware and software issues. Some of which are :- 1.Heating Problem 2.Phones freezes or hangs 3.Phone automatically switches off 4.4G sim not supported 5.Network Drop everytime 6.Phone Blackout for minutes I contacted YU support several time. They told me to visit Authorized Service Center. I demanded for "Onsite Doorstep Warranty", but they said they discontinued it. I went to service center they redirected me to other service center. I am frustrated and fed up of YU Televentures Service. Hence, I contacted my Lawyer friend, he suggested me we can file Public Interest Litigation (PIL) against YU Televentures on behalf of their thousands of Phone owner(they claim they have sold more than 2 lacs YU phones). Since every YU handset owner agreed to the Warranty and repair agreement before purchasing their handset, they all being covered under the agreement. Since Yu Televentures have discontinued their "Onsite Doorstep Warranty" a legal action can be taken against them Under Unfair Trade Practice Under Consumer Protection Act, 1986 Clause (vi) of Section 2(1) (r) of Consumer Protection Act, 1986 reads "makes a false or misleading representation concerning the need for, or the usefulness of, any goods or services" As for now instead of wasting my time running around service center, i can focus my time, energy and resource for the thousands Yu customer plagued under their deceit.
