[Resolved]  Zebronics — Zebronics Zeb Soundbomb S1 Pro TWS Wireless Earbuds

I bought the Zebronics Zeb Soundbomb S1 Pro TWS Wireless Earbuds with BT 5.1, Wireless Charging, Voice Assistant, Touch Controls, Splash Proof (Black) via Amazon.in on 28-Jul-2021.

It worked fine for first few times.

Soon, one of the ear buds (left one) charge gets over in few minutes after connected to the phone and the both the earbuds never show as 100% charged. It is always 60% even if I leave the earphones connected to usb-c charging for many hours, it is always showing as 60% charge.

Amazon had marked this product as having a 1year warranty, I called the service center as they were far away in Sadhasev Peth, Pune, the person there (Suraj) let me know I'd get a replacement immediately. I drove all the way to the service center from Kalyani Nagar, he then told me he misunderstood which product I wanted and I would have to wait for a replacement. I then got an SMS from Zebronics with the following on

and another SMS on 11th Aug

Solution has been arranged and being dispatched for Job no 2021/245810 from (HEAD OFFICE ( Buffer and Component )) dated (11/08/2021).For more info contact service center at [protected].

Since then there has been no update. Every time I write to [protected]@zebronics.com they reply via email that someone will get in touch with me shortly. Then, I get a call where someone tells me, it is going to take more time and initially the person I met at Zebronics (Suraj) said he would courier the product back to me since they called me all the way and didn't have a replacement. Now, when I get a call they behave like they are doing me a favour by couriering it back to me.

The product is still in sale with one day delivery on Amazon. Ideally, since this is within a 1 year warranty and I have returned the defective product to them, it should be replaced immediately. Today is 23rd Aug, no update, nothing.

I am writing this here on consumercomplaints as I am getting a feeling this is a fradulent company, they sell products at a very low cost and hope customers won't spend the time coming to their service center to fight for what they have paid for. I sincerely hope this helps someone else and after reading this they don't buy products from Zebronics or atleast Amazon blacklists them.

It's been a rollercoaster with a good ending. Today 4th Sept. after all the drama, I received a replacement. I appreciate it! Used the buds for an hour and it seems like all is well :) Closing this complaint. I hope they can streamline their systems in the future, at the moment though, I appreciate that I have a working set of buds. Thanks Zebronics.

It has been 20 Days since I have submitted the defective Zebronics Zeb Soundbomb S1 Pro TWS Wireless Earbuds to the service center.

Today is Aug 30th 2021.

I still have not got any update from Zebronics.

On the invoice/service order in the image above, it is mentioned that it is valid for 30 days.

So, it seems they are waiting for service invoice to expire?

I wrote to Zebronics inquiry today as well, and let them know if they cannot provide a replacement under the 1 year Warranty promised on Amazon.in to issue me a refund.

Ridiculous.

After all the drama. I finally got my Zebronics Zeb Soundbomb S1 Pro TWS Wireless Earbuds back via courier.

The explanation given by the service center in Pune was that they shipped it on Aug 17th 2021. You can decide yourself how crazy that sounds. Especially since I've been in touch with them asking them for updates.

What's worse is the problem is "Exactly" the same, nothing has changed at all. It's like they kept it for 20 days and returned it to me. It not only looked refurbished, it was dirty.

I will write to Zebronics and see what they have to say.

I strongly request you to not buy products assembled by this company. It is cheap Chinese parts assembled in India and sold under the 'Made In India' branding by Amazon.

After a call with Zebronics support I was told I would receive another call with a solution regarding a replacement.

I then received a call where I was told to courier the product back to them!

I think I have spent enough time effort and energy on Zebronics.

I strongly suggest, if you are reading this, do not buy products from Zebronics, if you do I wish you luck :)

I understand this they keep sending back the same product without fixing and apologize for not testing

I think you are right, there is something very wrong

1) The receptionist at the Sadashiv Peth Pune Service Center heard me incorrectly regarding the model of earbuds and called me all the way for a replacement, then apologized, I spent my money driving all the way there and back - there went my Rs. 100 discount when I bought it via Amazon's ligntning deal

2) The technician apparently didn't check the product before sending it back the exact same way with the exact same defect

3) The courier made a mistake, and it took 20 days for me to receive the product back

But if I ask for a replacement, I need to spend money and effort to ship the product back to them before they send me a replacement - how do I even know if they are doing to repeat this cycle or not. Why can't they collect the defective product and replace it at the same time.

The service center person who called is telling me about his job, I don't think they understand the correlation between how the customer indirectly pays for their salaries.

The company does not have any accountability whatsoever. No one I can reach in management to have a sensible conversation with.

I really don't know how Amazon is not vetting sellers before allowing them on.
