[Resolved]  Zestmoney — charging the emi for the funds which are not used

I had submitted the application form for the loan approval and zest also sanctioned me the loan amount of rs.49000/- for the period of 12 months without informing the rate of interest details or anything.. The worse part is that my nach is activated with icici bank saying i have to pay the emi from nov-2018. But i have not at all utilized the funds i really don't know how these people expect me to pay the emi or with out the confirmation or merchant bill from the amazon or any other company that i have purchased the product. When sent a mail asking them to cancel the loan these people are giving me an example of personal loan:

Thank you for contacting us and apologize for the inconvenience caused to you in this regard.

For an instance you have taken personal loan from some other bank and they credit the money to you whether you use the money or not you are liable for the emi. The same way we have already shared the vouchers and you are liable for the payment.

I understand that you wish to cancel your amazon loan. Please note the vouchers shared to you would be valid for 1 year from the date of approval. As per the terms and conditions of the company i am afraid to inform you that i will be unable to take a request for cancellation of the vouchers as the system does not allow me to do the same. However you can pre close the loan when ever you require without interest, i request you to write to us before 5 days prior your due date.

Also you can always look for exciting deals and festive offers around the year and shop for the desired products.

I request zest money to give me any means of authorizations / communications obtained from reserve bank of india to start the emi for the funds which are not utilized

Hi Santhosh,

Thank you for contacting us. I have raised the cancellation request with the merchant. If the voucher code has been added in your account, we will not be able to process the voucher code cancellation. The cancellation takes 10 days, as we need to contact the merchant and once we receive the update that the voucher is not used, then the loan cancellation will be processed.
