I had ordered food form zomato on 2 nov 2018. I need a refund for it. Placed on 2nd nov at 12:45 pm. #[protected]

I wanted the food to be delivered to my officer since i was at office, but the app picked up my home address (Even though i had used the gps to pick current location, and entered my office address).

Within seconds of making pre-payment (Online). I realized that the app has picked up the wrong address. Within 60 seconds of ordering (Really within 60 seconds) i contacted zomato chat support to cancel the order and confirm that they will refund, so that i can place another order at the proper address.

I believe it was a mistake to trust zomato with my money. The chat support told me that they will not cancel the order, they will not refund and that i can cancel my order but forget about the money. Wow! Like this is theft. I was surprised that this was their response. But this was their response.

I tried to explain to zomato support that look it's only been a minute since the order. It can easily be cancelled. However they simply refused to cancel and wasted over 1 hour on the chat. And at the end of one hour zomato chat support put it on me saying that since i was not found at the address they will charge me full amount. At that point i was aghast, that not only is the zomato chat support inept at helping the customer, but they are also very sly. Like it's an open loot by zomato.

I even explained to them that i'm perfectly okay to make another order if they confirm to me that they will refund. So i eventually will pay the money to them only. I also explained that my family members also use zomato and zomato has done a lot of business with my family and me. And that this kind of behaviour by zomato will obviously lead me to stop using zomato and use swiggy and ubereats.

No matter how much i explained. It seemed that nothing seemed to matter to zomato.

I honestly thought it would be simple enough like the customer immediately notifies the zomato customer care and zomato refunds. Both parties go on their merry way having a good business relationship. Sorry to say, zomato obviously doesn't seem to see these things this way. They are happy stealing 124 rupees from me.

    I ordered 2 milkshakes but by the time is was delivered it is nothing less than a hot beverage. It didn't end here,
    The milkshakes were sour
    Who on earth is making sour belgium chocolate milkshake?
    When i asked for another milkshake the request was denied
    So i asked for refund still no response.

    Then i tried to take up the matter,
    I called the restaurant from google maps number (I tried zomato's call option but didn't get past the ivr)
    The number registered was wrong, call went to some individual who didn't bother to even say it was a wrong number.

    What kind of restaurant is zomato dealing with?
    Is zomato the next foodpanda?

      I have ordered food using zomato app, i have told zomato support to convey my new mobile number to delivery boy. Support said your number is shared with delivery boy. After that i personally called delivery boy and said deliver my order. And suddenly i got message order is rejected. I told support to refund my money but they said they won't.

      I contacted zomato customer service, he called delivery boy and delivery boy said because of noise he was unable to remember my number.

      I also contacted restaurant for the same, they said this is third party order we can not do anything.

      I need my money refunded asap.

        Hello..

        This is suraj, have paid for my food and the zomato deliver boy he cancelled the order just because he is new to bangalore and he doesn't the address and he was very rude on the call, he doesn't know how to speak.. He was abusing on the call his name is (Avtar singh saini) [protected] this is his phone number.. I request you people not to encourage such people.. And i have paid for the food i haven't received it nor got my refund.. I want my refund.. I thought it's a good service, but you people are doing like this.. This is not fair.. Pls refund my money thank you

          I ordered food on the 19th of october from subway via my zomato id for which the payment was made through paytm. There is a problem in the zomato app which changes the address i enter (My actual location) after the order is confirmed. This is a problem i've been facing for a very long time but it did not cause any hindrance untill now as the delivery boys are usually aware of this problem, the reason being that i'm a college student and there are many others like me who face the very same issue. My location is amity university lucknow (New campus), near malhaur railway station. Students keep ordering food from zomato and always inform the delivery guy the error in location.
          This was not the first time i ordered from subway. I had gotten my food delivered on time earlier but this time the delivery guy was very disorganised, inattentive, uncivil and forgetful. I called him and informed him about the error in address, as always, and he said that he had understood and would deliver the order to the university. I called him later again to be sure that he had understood. He wasn't listening carefuly and was switching calls and not replying. After a while, he called me up, asked me to come take my order and said that he had arrived at the given address which was actually the wrong one. He himself was very confused. The order was then not delivered to us as it had gotten very late and he had to deliver other oders in different areas. We mailed zomato regarding this issue, called customer care several times and even complained through the app. No reply was received on our mail as promised. Only a reply to our message, sent through the app, was given which said that they won't provide any refund.
          The customer is not at fault over here. The stupid app does not function well. It changes the original location every single time an order is placed. The refund should be provided as soon as possbile. It was the app's fault which should be fixed as soon as possible.

            I order food from zomato as attached,
            When i called delivery boy he was 2 min away from my place, he rudely said your order is cancelled, contact the restaurant, restaurant's phone was not reachable as i tried 10 times, now they are saying they will not able to refund my paid amount, (Prepaid)
            Please do the needful at the earliest.
            This kind of attitude is not acceptable from zomato

              I placed an order with zomato android app and the order placement failed but my account was debited for the amount of the order (Rs 342.56) with transaction number[protected]zomatopaytm mumbai.

              The app was malfunctioning leading to a failed order placement and unnecessary deduction of funds from my account because it landed on a 502 bad gateway screen.

              It's a serious matter and i request a refund immediately.

                I am very disappointed with the response from Zomato and here is why.

                Concern :
                The pizza was shuffled inside the box before it was delivered on 01 Nov at 10.30 PM and I have attached the picture.

                Zomato Support is not willing to take any complaint as I am reporting it on 02 November which is late!
                The pizza was delivered to me at 10.30 PM and do you expect the customer to report it then and there?
                I am not asking to refund but I am asking you to take the complaint and make sure this doesnt happen again. I am following up with you as I had ordered from Zomato and its responsbility to take the complaint and follow up instead of denying the fact. Here is the Zomato support chat denying to even take the complaint.

                    They have not delivered the food to the address and instead of given me various reasons in 2 different emails. First they stated that i didn't receive their phone calls but in fact i spoke to both their delivery person and their representative. After which they sent a mail stating incorrect address.

                    They are just throwing excuses in and around the ceiling. This is a common practice even on their facebook page where others have been facing the same problem where they accept an order, don't deliver it, and give an invalid reason to pocket the customer's hard earned money.

                    If this were done by an individual, they would be in jail under charges of cheating someone but if zomato does it, they go unpunished because they are a company.

                    I have attached the screenshot of the email sent by their team listing the different reasons.

                      They have rejected the order with out any support assistance. Very bad support has responded to us. Time waste to us from one hour. We have placed the correct address but the delivery boy didn't respond correctly. Our first experience is worst with zomato. I want my money refund and my coupon also back. I will not suggest any of my friends to use zomato.
                      After the order has been placed the delivery boy didnt come to our location. He said that location is not correct. But we placed the correct delivery address in zomato app. Atlast they have rejected the order. We family are waiting since one hour. Its very worse experience

                        This is regarding my order from "pizza from dosa point."
                        Placed on 28th oct at 02:00 pm.
                        #[protected] through tomato, the food was not good enough to eat when it was delivered to me, i loged a complaint against the food at tomato and also sent them pics of delivered food. But it's being 4 days that i haven't received any reply and payback inspite of continuous reminder to zomato. The licence of the restaurants should be cancelled as they serve stale food which may caused serious health issue. Please take some serious action against zomato and that restaurant

                          Order not delivered due to negligence by Zomato and delivery boy.

                          Rude customer support.
                          Un-Professional attitude.

                          Please be aware while ordering food from zomato. These guys and their partners cheating customer in name of their policy which is seriously pathetic.

                          Zomoto application and service is very bad, I am totally un-satisfied with zomato.

                          The customer care person I chatted to was of no help at all! He just kept copy pasting his canned messages .. ‘I apologize for the inconvenience’, 'we deeply regret it' ‘please bear with us’ it’s like he wasn’t even reading his chat and just copy pasting the same content his seniors have asked him to!!

                            I have ordered subway sub and wrap through your app but i havnt get my order delivery and i dint get my money back as a refund. App says items delivered... But items wasn't deliver to my address mentioned. Subway manager says to contact zomato reg this. Your mobile number also does not work.                                 I placed one order and after that within 10 minutes i cancelled that order. (Vendor:- midfoo, vadodara) because i forgot to apply code.

                                I got one call from your end and your executive asked me the reason to cancel the order and he also told me that i will get my money back in 24 hours.

                                After that i again placed the same order with same vendor.

                                I did not get my money back. I paid with simpl app.

                                Kindly let me know when will i get my money back?

                                I also tried to explain the same thing to you chat support and call support executive.

                                They have no sense to talk on chat.

                                I am really disappointed with your service.

                                I placed the same order again there is not any excuse to waste food of vendor and i was near to restaurant so i rushed there and ask him to cancel the previous order.

                                Vendor did not even start to cook.

                                I want full refund amount without any excuse.

                                  I felt betrayed when i saw fake page with a near similar brand name with "new" prefixed... Has its page on zomato... With pictures uploaded from my sweet shop!!!

                                  Kindly immediately enquire into this act of negligence on your part... And do the necessary correction!

                                    Hi, i have a good time with zomato up to the last order (Order id: [protected]). I have so many order with zomato, but in last time, it's an accidental order. I lost my money in paytm (I blindly trust you to add my payment wallet to your business) with transaction id: [protected]. After the order placement, i call the restaurant, delivery boy and customer support to cancel my order. From the support team tell me that, you can cancel the order without credit back the money to either zomato credits or to paytm. If it's to zomato credits, i will be ok. So i can make another purchase. I know there may be a rule to don't cancel after order placement. But you can give me one chance or have an exception for a single time. So you just denied a justice to cancel my order to get back the money. But i really want my back. Even to zomato credits is ok for me.

                                      I had ordered food today on zomato and paid online. The food was supposed to be delivered at 9:00 pm. But, i just got an update on the app that the food is delivered! Whereas, i did not receive the food. I immediately contacted the customer care on chat (As there is no customer care phone number), i was answered rudely.
                                      They said, i did not answer the call and the delivery guy knocked the door. When i called the delivery guy, he said i came to fourth floor and knocked your door (I live on 3rd floor). I think zomato did not give a phone to these people either - he should have called me! He did not!

                                      Now the delivery guy says, i will deliver your order after half an hour. When i told the customer care that i don't want to eat cold food and want a refund for this order, they said we won't be able to refund your money!

                                      I want to ask the zomato team - is this how you deal with your customers?

                                      Hereafter, i suggest no one to order from zomato. This is ridiculous!

                                        I tried to place an order on Zomato desktop app. At 19:07 pm I chose a restaurant and tried to place the order. I applied the code NEW50 and then applied the debit card details.The order placement was failed but the money got deducted from my bank account.Immediately I received message from my bank that Rs 135 has been deducted from my account. I have not received the money back.The screenshots are given with it.
