Today around 3 pm I've ordered pizza and pasta through Zomato. The order was accepted by Pizza Hut, then one of their executive called me and mentioned that they can't deliver the food as the store is not operational. 30 minutes were already wasted when I started chatting with Zomato support executive Aayush Sharma. So incompetent person, not ready to take the ownership of what was happening. I was hungry and this person was keep on wasting my time doing nothing. I'd just asked for a small compensation for the inconveniences I faced. He was not at all ready to understand what I was asking for.
People should understand the value of time. I would like to talk to someone higher from Zomato on this. This is really not acceptable.

    This app is increasing price of food by huge margin and cheating customer by discounts which is still very less. The quantity of food is also less. I faced an issue while ordering tandoori chicken took 140 rupees and only 2 pieces. When I asked restaurant they said their actual price is 80 rupees. You have to contact zomato only. What is this??? I paid delivery charges 30 rupees extra. Are they looting peoples money??

        I ordered food on Zomato website on 4th Jan 2017 around 7:30 PM. I paid online via netbanking and order confirmation said I will receive my food by 8:22 PM..

        After waiting till 8:45 PM, I called restaurant. They told me that Zomato delivery person has not showed up so my order has not left the restaurant yet. He also mentioned that Zomato is doing this on a regular basis which is ruining relation and business of that restaurant.

        When I called Zomato they were putting blame back to the restaurant that they have to deliver and there was no one to deliver. After this episode, I asked Zomato to cancel the order and refund by money which they agreed to.

        However there was no attempt from Zomato to provide the food delivery. I can only rate Zomato service as "lousy".

          Zomato is kind of a payment gateway where you can order food and pay for it online.These guys have deducted money from my account on four occasions for an order and not placed order to the restaurant.
          After that only when i told them the issue they said they will refund the money within a week, it's been 8 days today.
          These people don't have a direct contact number where you can speak to a representative.Instead we have to rely on some customer complaint that we send on their website and wait for them to acknowledge the complaint and reply back.
          How can a company who is handling so much money not have a customer care number?
          I was being patient but again today the same thing happened and they are not responding.
          I could place my order again just because i have money in my account.
          Imagine if i was broke and that was my last 240/-rupees.
          My money has been deducted but order wasn't place.. please refund my amount

            I oredered twice food through online ordering. Received confirmation from bank, zomato.

            On its way also message received.

            When i called the hotel, they said that they do not receive the order.

            You cannot contact by phone or online or chat. Only way to contact them is email

            On 4 dec 2016 ordered food at 12:37 pm. Bank deducted the amount. Zomato confirmed that they received the order. Hotel confirmed that they received the order at 12:37 pm promising to deliver at 13:13 pm.

            At 13:05 confirmation from hotel came that it is on the way. At 13:30 pm called the hotel that they said order not received.

            I called zomato and they apologise and they cannot reach the hotel is the reply. My food time gone and tension.

            Beware of online cheating by zomato!

              I had ordered food online via zomato on 20th november 2016at 8:24 pm for which the payment was prepayed and the restaurant was subway. When i called the restaurant number, they said that the order was on the way and this at 9:30pm. At around, 10:30pm still, the delivery was nowhere to be made and when i called them again, they said that the website had crashed and the order was not made and now they cannot make the order also. When i called them again, the person just put the call on hold and just disconnected it everytime. I do not understand was it my mistake that i ordered via zomato and will i even get the refund.

                It is such a shame that even after doing the prepayment for the order, the order is not delivered. i received no communication from zomato ant it. i had to call the restaurant for my order status after 1.5 hours of placing the order. the restaurant tells me that they missed the order n now cannot deliver it.
                It is a time when i cannot pay cod as i has no cash of "100" n "50"...
                I called zomato cd n they just kept call on hold n disconnected the call.
                Such a shame.. and such a horrible service.
                Was it my fault that i did the prepayment n the restaurant missed the order.
                Get this sorted n pay my money back. order id 10759905
                The order status online shows delivered. it's 4.18 pm n i hv not received the order yet.

                  I had an order on Nov 9, 2016 from an restaurant named Opt In.. Via Zomato around 9:20 pm. They took the order and promised to deliver around 10:20 pm which was paid online. It was night and nowhere to eat nearby. I had nothing to eat at home . Around 12 night they are saying (Zomato) the order cannot be delivered, before which I was continuously trying to track my order, and there was no definite response until 12. I am hungry overnight. If I get hospitalized, I need an compensation of at least Rs. 100000.

                    I had placed an order through Zomato on Nov 3, at 9 pm and they confirmed that the order was confirmed by the restaurant and was out for delivery. After 2 hours.. when I didn't get the order, I checked with the restaurant and they confirmed that there isn't any order received by them. On enquiring with Zomato, they are conviniently putting the blame on the Restro saying they canceled the order. This was a prepaid order plus at 11 pm at night, I am left with no food and is in a sheet harassment situation. Zomato misguided me, didn't give correct details and left me stranded with food late night.

                      Hi Team

                      I am Akshya, from Mumbai, registered with Zomato 3 months ago, but the sales representative (Mr. Prithvi Sehgal) cheat me by taking cheque from me and without confirmation he deposited the cheque of Rs. 7360 (Seven Thousand Three Hundred Sixty only).

                      Also I complaint to Zomato HO but they promised me to refund the said amount which is undelivered till date.
                      I placed an order on zomato at 10 20 pm on 28th April and then the order was supposed to reach by 11 20 pm but it did not reach by 12 also, the executive delevired an order to a an address which comes next to my address and the customer care at zomato kept giving me 5 min it will reach excuse for 45 min but it did not reach no clarity was given

                        I had ordered food through Zomato on Sep 3, 2015. My order no. was 7427624. According to Zomato, I was supposed to pay Rs. 448 for my order after 10% discount that I was getting on ordering from Zomato, but the restaurant charged Rs. 495 for it. Restaurant's name is Gopal's Sector 8 Panchkula. Same day, I have called the customer care of Zomato. The person there told me that he will speak with restaurant and will get back to me, but he did exactly opposite, he did not show up. I want that overcharged money back.

                          I placed an order it got accepted and after a while I get a call from Zomato saying that the food can't get delivered as there are no delivery guy available around the restaurant. It was okay until the restaurant called me asking me why the order is getting cancelled and this is the second time it's happened.
                          Apparently Zomato called the restaurant saying that the order is cancelled as the delivery location is out of range whereas they told me no delivery guy was available Now, what are they trying to do here!?

                          I was chatting with Zomato a while back now suddenly they have vanished and no reply is coming back.

                          Zomatos services are pathetic and devious better watch out before you order or I say don't order at all from zomato.

                            I was told that my order would be delivered by 12:44 pm. However, it was 1:40 and nothing! The restaurant said that the delivery guy left and met with an accident and came back but noone decided to tell me about it..my order was already paid for.

                            I asked zomato about it and they had no idea, and they just could not track it.
                            Horrible horrible experience handling deliveries.

                            I had to literaly ask them 3 times if i would be compensated and they said to make up they would give me some zomato credit. How unprofessional are you guys!?

                              Non delivery of food causing mental and physical harassment to elderly couple.

                              We ordered food for an elderly couple residing in Munirka who are over 75 years old. They need to take medication post having food and are dependent.

                              We ordered food from Zomato and their partner Rang De Basanti restaurant who failed to deliver food even in 2 hours instead of their assurance of delivering food in 45 mins.

                              This is gross negligence and irresponsible behaviour leading to harassment and causing physical stress to the elderly.

                                Guys, these so called online food order service providers are very pathetic that they have tie-up with roadside footpath restaurants called tower of pizza, vignan nagar/jeevan bhima nagar that both behave in the same way whose ever order on basis of amount they will deliver according to that, eg:if you have order for 400 & some body order for 350 they will deliver the minimum price ordered person for about 2hours which is of disgusting at midnight time. They both argue with you (Even they will scold you) that you (Whoever ordered) is wrong. Does anyone want this kind of situation even after paying before 2hours? Think before ordering it, i am even going to police station to complaint these (Tower of pizza) who spoke to me rudely.

                                  Hi team,

                                  I had placed an online order with zomato mobile app for restaurant- punch dhaba (Order number: kewpkq) at 7:36 p.M. After an hour, i.E. 8:30 p.M, i tried to reach the delivery guy and he told me that he already delivered it to a person in my building, not even bothered to ring and come to my flat. He told me that he delivered the order to a person he met in my society lift. When i told him how he can give the order to random stranger in my building, he came rushing to my flat after my call. When i tried to enquire him he was clueless and then trying to leave the conversation and go. When i asked him where is my order and scolded him that how he can hand over the order to random people, and that he supposed to hand the order at person's door, that delivery guy abused and left.

                                  I was completely dumbstruck and felt humiliated. Getting abused at our home door by a delivery guy, its indeed a most humiliating experience a person can face.

                                  After many attempts, i finally talked to one of the zomato customer support executive and told her the whole incident about how a delivery guy gave the order to a random stanger in my building, and on top of that humilated me at my doorstep. That zomato executive told me that she will enquire and will surely process my order.

                                  After 5-10 mins, i get a call from that same delivery guy who abused me at my doorstep that he will be bringing my order again. I was amazed that even after hearing the incident, zomato gave my order to same delivery guy who assaulted me at my door step. He just told me that he will brining the order and cancelled the call, after confirming my order.

                                  Within 5 mins, i get a call from zomato executive - mr.Mohit gupta, who tells me that my order is still not placed with the restaurant - punch dhaba and that they will give me my payment back to zomato wallet and then i have to again place the order. The time was 9:30, which is almost 2 hours of the time i placed my order with zomato. I tried to explain him that its so insensitive of him, to just casually tell me to place the order again, and in this whole time, zomato haven't even reordered my food to the restaurant. Mr. Mohit gupta wasted 20 mins time, explaining that zomato is paying for my food and that i don't have to pay anything, since my payment for my non-delivered order is now converted in zomato wallet. Which technically is my money only for which i paid for the food !!!

                                  Out of total mental exhaustion and painful hunger, i asked him to stop this non-sense and requested him to not place an order.

                                  Being abused by a zomato delivery guy, being frustrated by zomato customer executive like mr. Mohit gupta, who was busy explaining me that amount zomato credits in my zomato wallet is zomato money and that i don't have to pay anything, which is very obvious since its my money and not zomato money, since food for which i made the payment was never got delivered to me.

                                  The incident invloves harassment, mental agony and assault through abusing by zomato executive and is a slap on customer face for being an ardent customer and using zomato services.

                                  I believe i deserve to get a proper reply for all the humiliation, agony and pain i have to go through in last few hours and being hungry throughout the evening (Even now i am writing) by relying on the service of zomato.

                                    I ordered two veg pizza from Zomato app (online ordering) both showing as green symbol. But I was delivered one veg and one chicken pizza. After having it I realized it was chicken. I am a pure vegetarian hence fell sick after having that non-veg pizza

                                      So sir look st this fraud company i openef their application for ordering food onthe left side i found of optin of get free meals i opnd it its showing dt refer friends and give them 100 zomato credits when they use your code whenn when they use that 100 rs in ordering you will get 100 too den i shard link to all my whatsapp and facebook buddies After 5 minutes my friend said dt there is no option of promocode during signup I checked and he was r8 there was no optin then i contacted zomato and ask them how to use this code And look at their answer SIR WE DONT GIVE REFER PROMOS OR CODES Mind bogling tecnhique of promotion guyZ But thanls to myself as i have taken the screenshot and saved it coz these basturef cant be trusted ... Now plz take action i have uploaded the screenshot as these new online companies are making people fraud
