[Resolved] Zoom Car — rental car bill | |||
Greetings, Here's why zoom car is a fraud company, i used their services on a fine day and while driving on the road there was a small hiccup, there was a share auto which slightly scraped the back of the car, which could not have been my fault at all. Anyway, i called up zoom car and told them about it and i also obtained a csr copy from the nearest police station. The customer care executive gave me a whatsapp number and asked me to send them the pics of the car, i was told it was a small scratch and that i wouldn't be charged more than ₹2500. I said that it wasn't even my fault, how can i be asked to pay etc... The customer care executive said that it was the company policy... However, she also told me that a person would inspect and tell me the exact amount and the amount of ₹2500 was merely an estimate. Right before ending the trip i dropped the car off at the zoom point, near the airport in chennai and there was a person who inspected the car, i told him what happened and handed the csr copy. The person told me that "it was a very small scratch near the bumper and that i don't have to pay anything. With everything being settled, i proceeded and once i reached home, i opened the zoom car app and to my surprise it showed an outstanding of ₹10, 000. So basically, after i've ended the trip and completed all the procedures, they can still charge an amount on my account and they have sent me 2 legal notices, in the first they have claimed it was charged for the damages to the car, i asked for bills and receipts so that i can proceed further. They have not replied till date. The 2nd legal notice i've received says that it was charged because" said vehicle has been used for manner other than those agreed and acknowledged by you, at the time of booking" which makes no sense at all.
