Airtel — 4G SIM CARD ISSUES | |||
I was recently issued a 4G SIM card as part of an upgrade by Airtel, when i inserted that SIM into my phone (IPHONE), it did not recognize the SIM. After speaking with their customer care without any proper support or technical understanding of the problem (their approach was to "change my phone", i have an iPhone 6 ! I at the very atleast asked them to revert to my 3G earlier SIM since that was working alright, but it seems that is also a problem for them to do. Their customer support is not responding and i am left with no connectivity for quite awhile now. Was this information helpful? | |||

I have the same issue. I ported from Docomo to Airtel. They provided me with a Airtel 4G sim which is not detected on my Phone. As per their ARC they cannot port back to 3g sim. why the hell did they send me a 4G sim when I never asked... And as of now I am out of service for past 6 days. Being a official number none of the clients are able to reach me on phone. The twitter handle just says we will get back to you... and no revert. Then I contacted the sales rep and asked him to provide a new sim card.. and he gave a 64k sim which was detected on my phone.. However Airtel was unable to provision this sim card with my number. The 64k SIM has 19 digits and Airtel wants 20 digit SIm number.. How the hell am I supposed to make it 20 digit. I have sent the screenshot and the sim card copy and still issue is not resolved. And yesterday went to tjeir ARC in Vashi, navi mumbai, As per they we cannot port back to 3G sim.. and I need to contact the one who sold me the card. When I told I have dealt with Airtel.. He says Woh Airtel se baat karo.. we are a franchisee and cant help with this issue. The executive name is Deepak...

You should check the SIM number on the SIM card, and add the alphabet in the end. In my case it was "U"
the process is you should send an SMS to 121

Hi. After struggling a lot, final, I got my 4G connectivity. Now I have another challenge. My phone has started behaving weird. Even now n then it starts searching for signal. After a while my phone automatically restarts. Not only this most of the time signal shows "EDGE". When connected to net, calls doesn't come and later when net is gone, i get missed call notification. I have LG G3 on which I am using 4g net for more than a year from another service provider. I wish i get proper solution to my problems.
I upgraded from 3g to 4g. They told that sim will be activated after 10 minutes after getting message. I got the message of activation but there is no network in either sim. Now I am disconnected. Customer care told me to go to the retailer. But he is in delhi and I am in faridabad. My sim number is [protected].
I am undergoing the same problem with my 4g sim.I got my first 4 g sim through airtel promotional 4g offer for free.It worked well for 3 months then during July last week.I am facing frequent dead signal, call forwarding even when their is full signal.It is my official no.and I am unable to fix.So when I contacted airtel store they gave me a new sim and again the same problem. The call forwarding has stopped but the services no*121#, *123#is not working on 4g setting.I am using One plus One.

I cant able to call 121 or 198, i have same issues to get it cleared..
I have problem while upgrading my 3g sim to 4g sim. I have completed all the procedure as instructed by the customer care. After that i received a message where i had to reply 1 as I did and then in return i got did message.
Wrong HLR GOLD SIM, Please try again with Correct HLR sim number.

Hi, Last I have upgraded to 4G sim .after inserting into 4G phone or any phone,
I am able to register to airtel network, it's kind of blocked sim, not able to use any services, even it's saying switched when I called from other number.I have attached image which usually I get after registration.
Can you please help on the at the earliest
