Airtel — Automated calls to unknown number | |||
Hello,I'm using Airtel prepaid sim for the past 10 yrs..but from a week there are number of outgoing calls automatically dialled from my mobile.The numbers are [protected],[protected],[protected],[protected],[protected].I really don't know these numbers and how are they being dialled.Twice my balance was reduced to ZERO rs.Can anyone help to find what the problem is. We have the same problem in Afghanistan calls are dailing automaticly form our subscribers phones to '[protected] this issue is under investigation i hope we should get the exact issue. can any one let us know if they are using GPRS! our finding shows that all subscribers who faced this issue right after using GPRS.

my dear friends i am not using gprs of vodafone i have no gprs vodafone setting on my phone so how this type of number dailled automatic [protected] this is fake no of Latvia and another number i have [protected] this is also no of that contry and vodafone have sent my bill amount of rs 3051 of 1 month i did not made any international call even my cradit lmt have 900 rs VODAFONE COMPANY IS fraud company they always doing this type of bad activities with innocent people this is very wrong my phone no is [protected] my bill comes every month 100 between 200 rs

Sorry to hear. Your best bet lies in throwing away this prepaid connection, destroy the sim and go for a post paid connection. Then drag this company Airtel to consumer forum and report this matter to TRAI - Telecom Regulatory Authority of India, New Delhi along with a RTI. You may contact Airtel/Trai/Press/DOT/MIT by e-mail in one go.
I myself have fought Airtel successfully in getting stopped uncalled for add-ons like caller tunes, PC-secure and refund of the excess money charged though it was below Rs.50 each time. You may also endorse a copy to me and at e-mail: [protected]@rediffmail.com for helping you further.
