[Resolved]  Airtel Digital TV — HELL CUSTOMER CARE

I have purchased Airtel Digital TV on 28th of August 2011 and my customer id is [protected] .
But i realized the big mistake i made by choosing such a irresponsible company as DTH service provider.
I have following concerns:
1. Some time some channels shows the Connection lost screen (Error Code B0001).
2. In rain as well in drizzling it does not respond and hangs.
3. Whenever I called customer care they give me same stupid solutions :

* Restart your set top box.
* Unplug your cable and reconnect.
* Remove any obstacle in front of Dish.


Really a very bad DTH service provider.I suggest never buy Airtel Digital TV.

Airtel Digital TV — no signal from

So many times made request sms for top up /adding Zee Marathi Channel but still is there is no action taken by u.Repeatedly received only sms from u that 'we have received ur rrequest and will be processed shortly. This shortly means when? Is there any specific time limit for shortly. Please do anything resonable for believe on u.

Airtel DTH — regarding loss during initial installment

I did all my efforts and I couldn't get the adequete compensation from the company while a very faint recovery.Actually I purchased airtel dth on 4th october from choice electonics ,Neemrana .But due to inability of there service engineer or distributor It was not installed ion the same day when Big Boss program was started on colors,there after he came after 3 days and again said there is a problem in set top box so it would be swapped It took 5-6 days more and when it had changed again he carelessly installed but not in running condition again I made a complain,Almost all the day I usedto lodged complain talk to dealer,distributor and service engineer apart from customer care but it was not rectified and harassed me agin my set top box had taken away and almost more than a month had been taken to replace and run it properly.
So I would completely annoid and had some dispute due to this Bcause I removed my cable before installing it .So I suffered a lot and very mere action had to be taken care by Airtel while I have a expectation that at least one year subscription has to be freed dut to severe loss suffered to me,My Customer ID is [protected].

Airtel Digital Tv Dth — Installation is not happening

I had been relocated from Ahmedabad to Chennai, i had requested for the Relocation of the DTH.
Deinstallation happened quickly in ahmedabad and installtion is not happening from past one week.
I had booked slot for installing the same for three times , every time they had taken the complaint but nothing is happening no response from any body.
After registering the complaint they are saying to wait for 24 hours, next day will receive a message saying your request is resolved. But the request is not completed.

My CustId is :[protected].

Really i am fed up with this Airtel DTH Service it is very very poor in chennai.
Please do something on this , so that airtel guys will provide service correctly to other customers.

Airtel Digital TV — NOT ACTIVATING,POOR SERVICE

complaint regarding to AIRTEL DIGITAL TV. I purchased AIRTEL Digital TV connection from MAGNUM ELECTRONICS BAREILLY dated 30/05/2010 initially my costumer i.d is [protected] but now it changed to [protected],but till date my connection is not activated my mobile no. is [protected].
I request u to concerned authorities take appropriate action as soon as possible

Airtel DTH — Money charged but no service

Airtel deducted 3250/- from my account for a recharge but did not reflect it in their accounts inspite of deducting the amount from my card.
Now they say they cant trace the transaction. Appearently their system had issues during the time I did the recharge and they have no way of finding out what to do now.
I am stuck with no recharge and charge already made to my account.
I have made atleast 100 customer service calls and they just play around without any resolution.
Worst still each call has a holding time/wait time of 15 minutes till you can speak to someone.
Whats more they also closed my call saying its resolved with no resolution.

Airtel Digital Tv (DTH) — Bad customer care

I have Airtel DTH & I have been trying to recharge the account using recharge coupons since last two days but the reply was " There is some technical problem pls try again later". But now those recharge coupon PINs are not working at all. I tried to submit a complaint to customer care, but the customer care connectivity is so yakkk...they are so tricky, they intensionally dont talk to us or listen to our complaints more than 20 seconds. I have wasted two coupons worth Rs 1000 & still they are not recharged in our account. There is no response at all on Customer care numbers.
Such a big company & customer care professionals are doing FRAUDS. Now what should i do with dat disgusting set top box.
I am a airtel digital tv customer for last one year.I have recharged my account with Rs 300/- on[protected] but strangely till date the said account has not been updated instead i am getting message in my registered mobile number for quick recharge. unfottunately my service has been suspended w.e.f[protected]. very embarassing.service is not poor but worst.

With reference to your email, I am happy(!) to inform you that yesternight i.e. on 31st May 2010, I received an SMS from AD-DTH247 which reads as under:

"Dear Cutomer, your service request reference no. is 2875798 for "Remote Control issues" has been resolved. If the issue is unresolved, please call [protected]."

For the first time in my whole life, I have come across such a situation, where the issue has been resolved(!) without doing anything. Your company seems to have employed magicians and not Engineers of service people, who can resolve issues in such a way. If the issues of our country or world at large are entrusted to your company, I bet, they can be resolved simply by sending one SMS.

You go on thanking for writing without resolving the issue.

Airtel Digital TV — One more frustrated customer of Airtel digital

I am Airtel digital TV customer. My customer ID is: [protected] (set top box id [protected] & view card number [protected]). I recharged my account on Thursday (3rd June) but I am yet receive my services back. I am still receiving error code 6. I have checked the account balance through the intranet and toll free number and you have precisely took money out of my account on the day I recharged and you have been charging our account daily. So basically, you have been taking our money, and NOT providing any services. Is this how airtel TV works? If so, I would like my money back and cancel this account.



I have been ridiculed by your customer care so many times, and I am absolutely fed up with it. I called your customer care 36 times and raised 3 to 4 complaints and 3 service requests regarding this. However, I STILL, to this date have not received a call or solution from your customer care regarding the issue. Is this what you call customer care?????????? According to your customer care personal I last spoken to, a service engineer was supposed to come to our house by 10AM last Saturday morning (05/06/10). I had waited patiently and I hadn’t heard anything by 12PM and when I called again, they said that this ‘service engineer’ will be there by 2PM then they said by 4PM. Not only, did this ‘service engineer’ of yours not turn up, when I called repeatedly they kept promising me that he will turn up, and the SAME THING happened on Sunday. What did I get out of this? No one came to solve the issue, your customer care personnel kept promising me that the service engineer will come, and my weekend got WASTED waiting for a service engineer. This is ridiculous and NOT acceptable.



The matter of fact is that I have been paying for a service so that I can watch TV. Not to wait around wasting MY TIME for a service engineer to turn up, or wait around for this so called airtel ‘customer care’ to fix the problem. I have been paying for a service, so I want that service, because you haven’t provided us with the service, we missed out on the French open and a whole lot of cricket matches and a whole lot of other TV programs.



I am a valuable customer of yours as I and my house mates are using Airtel phones and broadband services. And YET, we have to call 36 times to fix a problem, which is STILL PENDING??? I am very very angry about this. This is NOT called customer care. You might want to ask Airtel phones and broadband services on how to improve your digital TV services because we are getting much better services from them.



I want a solution for this matter as soon as possible. If you are unable to come up with a solution by today itself your going to give us our money back, and take that damn set top box away. And we will go to ANOTHER service company that will provide much better service, as we don’t want to miss the World CUP. Bear in mind, that your only ruining your own reputation by not providing the right services.

service is pathetic from airtel
Airtel DTH acts a perfect example of worst customer service. Whenever you call the toll free number, you have to wait for ~15 min to hear their systems are down and we need to call them back after an hour. The height of stupidity is the representative don't log the details of the conversation and the next person whom you talk with just say 'this the first time you're calling today, why can't you call back again?!!' I don't recommend anyone to go for Airtel digital TV in Bangalore
