[Resolved]  CIBIL — How to get out of CIBIL's defaulter list.

Hello Sir/Madam,

I just want to know if there is any chance or way to make my name out of the defaulters list in CIBIL.I made 2 settlements as I could not repay my credit card bills in Jan 2007 due to bad financial position.

After that settlement there is no more remark about my credit card payments or my credit history in your terms, but the problem arised when I applied for a personal loan for my Sister's marriage. My application got rejected as I made some settlements in the year 2007, even after I provided them with the settlement documents. I even tried to repay the balance amount of the settlements done with the respective banks, but to my disappointment they said that even if I pay the remaining amount, my name would be still in the defaulters list and that they cant help me in any way. And as I was not able to get a loan, the marriage got postponed and then cancelled.

SO, I request you to help me with a way, advise or suggestion (if any) to make my name out of CIBIL's defaulters list for ever. Else the only way for me to avail a loan would be to settle abroad and apply for a loan in that country. :). I hope CIBIL will not reject my application there too.

I would appreciate if you can please help me with the best solution or reply to my problem.

One request: If possible, please give us a chance (to the defaulters) to repay the balance settlement amount, may be by fixing the time frame to repay it, else Permanent residency as a CIBIL defaulter.Help us get out of CIBIL's defaulters list.
Theres a chance to get out of a DEATH SENTENCE or a LIFE IMPRISONMENT but seems theres no way for a defaulter in CIBIL, so please help us with a solution for our problem.

Thanks and regards,
Vidhya

'All days are not equal'. 'Subah ka bhoola gr Raat ko ghar wapas aa jaaye tou use Bhoola nahin kahte'. This is a proverb in our Indian human nature. The MNCs when came to trade in India they were very much aware that Indians are the best in Re-Paying their DEBTS. That's the reasons they invested their money to indian people on credit but on a very 'High Rate of Interest' and simultaneously sold thier products, also brought made from their developed countries for which the honest people of India could not understood. In this way they sold their old techniques of their mother countries, by way of providing loan/credit from their own sources(i.e.Multi National Banks/Foreign Banks) other than from our own country's Nationalised Banks.
Now the situation is this, that our own Copuntry's products have been shut down resulting 'Un-employment' and No-flow of money through common people of India. Country's money has been captured by a 'Few Hands' instead of 'Multi-hands'.Our Indian Government had never taken care of the present situation which has been the Bone of Contension' in the present scenerio.
The Failure of more than 24 Banks in America, has been the result of above fact, and now the same is going to repeat in India. People buy commodies o[censored]tmost Necessities now a days because of the weaker Rupees' purchasing power but no other additional source of income either by putting extra unskilled or skilled labour.
But the habit of getting loan to poor people of India on easy terms & conditions without a guarantor, made by the MNCs, made people to get them registered with CIBIL (that too created by themselves to use the Maximum Cream out of Milk).

Hello All,

I think the CIBIL department is only beneficial for Bank people not for normal people like me and the peoples who have complained like me above.
I agree there should be a centralised place/database to show about any consumer finance status whether he is a defaulter or a normal payee.

But when placing these kind of database, MAINTENANCE of this should be very strong. It should be updated very often about the payee. Even though the payee would have closed the CC / loan etc.. by paying full amount which bank says as outstanding amount with closure charges, STILL the payee name will be in defaulter list. WHY IS THAT? when bank people are ready/keen to update abt the payee in CIBIL when he is not paying THEY should take care of removing his/her id from CIBIL when he payes the amount.

This is like ONE-WAY advantage where BANK is getting benefited BUT not the CONSUMER. If we ask bank people they tell we updated CIBIL already but consumer wont know still his name is in CIBIL defaulter list or not.

WHAT IS THE MITIGATION for this????????? who is going to take action on this???????????????????
THESE PEOPLE ARE LETTING THE BIG BULLIES DO WHATEVER THEY WANT EVEN AFTER HAVING LOTS OF SCAMS BEHIND THEM BUT CANNOT HELP THE NEEDED EVEN AFTER HIS REPENTENCE.

Hi friends,

I feel in such a democratic country, where the law instruct not collect more than 12 to 15 % of interst, but still the cc companies charge an exobitant interest of 36% percent p.a. which is suppose to be unlawfull.

Just for the sake we singed the doc, most of cc company take atmost advantage of it . especially mnc's.

now its time fo all of to unite together under one umbrella and needs this issue taken seriously to ministry of finance.

we all citizen and not a salved customers to this hungry money eating mnc and pvt bank.

its we who give life, bread and butter to this companies. but in return it doesnt mean that they can take us for a ride.

I am sure there is solution if we all unite agaings this dictorship monopoly of cibil.

there were case where in previus budget even more than 60 core loans where written off for agriculture, by MOF

any we are not asking for a straight write off, we just ask for to take the name out of cibil list, and give us fresh standing.its just a matter of default not a serious crime/economic offense, a defaulted can be corrected by giving proper chance and good guidance by financial institution.
But no financial institution come forward to do this, they need understand as long as a customer(a human being ) is happy, they always render to be a loyal customer to any bussiness.

thing will change and his has to change, no more autocratic rule of cibil will be sustained.

It is high time we consumers form an Organization which fights for the un justice done by such time of Oganization, who enjoys power but bear no responsiblities. Main culprit are Credit Card issuing banks, who levies high rates on penalties and interest.
