[Resolved]  ICICI Bank — Updating international mobile number for OTP

I am an ICICI customer for the last 6 plus years and I moved to the US about 16 months ago, I cannot access my online banking or pay my bills because i cannot access my online account without the OTP number, my india mobile number is updated in ICICI and no longer exists. I need to update my US mobile number, but i cannot do this online and talking to customer care has not helped at all. Its depressing to see that customers at international locations were not thought of when implementing OTP. Please somebody help me to get my US phone number updated or suggest a way to go about getting it updated.

Hi, I have moved to Saudi from India and I couldn't do any online transaction.i tried calling customer care but of no use I want top to be given to my email id so that I can access my account from any where. Please assist me in doin this.

I am in USA and I have updated my international mobile number but even after the number is updated I am not getting any OTP. This is really painful. I am considering to close my savings account with ICICI and transfer all my balance to my HDFC savings account.
HDFC bank has a very convenient process, I have updated my international number there also and I am receiving OTP from HDFC.
BUT ICICI Sucks! Pathetic and worst customer service. :(

I have a ICICI privilege account since last 15 years and due to my job nature I am supposed to stay in US for atleast 2 years.
I went to the bank before coming and they said that once you call customer care they will update the phone number in 1 business day.

After calling ICICI customer care they asked us to courier Pasport copy, visa copy and a letter asking things to be changed with self attestation to the Hyderabad branch,

We did that and we get replay as rejected due to signature mismatch. We wrote a number of mails to customer care and also called the customer care number of times but no one is assisting to solve this issue.

I see a number of complaints related to the same with standard reply by ICICI saying signature mismatch.

Can anyone help custiomers get this issue resolved.

I had ICICI bank account for more than 6 years and I recently move to US. Now, I was not able to make any transactions without OTP. Can you please let me know the process o[censored]pdating the US mobile number for getting OTP? OR is there a way to receive OTP through registered email?

Same Worst Experience ... I have spent more than 50$ FRO POSTAL AND SENT TWICE ALLA THE FORMS.Still not get updated.

Hi, I am ICICI customer for past 15 years and now currently in New Zealand and not using my credit card for sometime and last nite i get email message someone has used my card and its in India where as I am leaving in New zealand. Is there are any immediate helpline number where i can call from New Zealand number. I searched your website could not find anything from this region and no email to raise complaint. Hopeless customer service. I sent in the mobile enrollment form from USA paying almost $70. But my request was rejected saying that they needed FATCA declaration form. When I called to ask them the details, the CS agent would cut the call.
I have been using ICICI from last 13 years and happy to say that their OTP feature is worst feature and annoying customer.
I contacted their customer care to update my international mobile no. and they suggested to send a form and ur passport copy. I sent it and got response they had rejected due to resident account. they why the hell they asked me to courier form and passport copy? waste of money

Then I contacted again customer care they said we can't update you need to convert ur account to NRO/NRE and advised me that I can do it online - I tried from my login and now they are sending OTP to my disconnected phone to proceed my request- stupid suggestion again.

Then again I contacted cust care they said call to our NRI cust care and gave me no.[protected] which is not working. when I call it says this no. has been disconnected.

Its really frustrating when you cannot use your own money. I have only solution to close ICICI forever in my next trip have new account with some good provider but not ICICI.

I know few who had closed ICICI just because of stupid OTP reason and now I am going to be amongst them.
I have been a proud ICICI customer until I have moved to US for a long term stay.
My India number has been deactivated and assigned to some one else, which i came to know very late;
My OTPs and alerts used to get sent to the other person and I immediately wanted to update the mobile number once I knew. For the past one week I am trying to get this done with ICICI customer care and branch office.
Customer care officer will route me to Branch, where branch phone will ring forever or will be engaged all the time.

I am not knowing what should be the next step, I can eve n close my account if it continues this way.

I am facing same issue and ICICI people in India just telling me to be in person to change my number. How ridiculous to travel India to just change my mobile number where other bank offer this facility online with proper proof and scan copy of form with sign. I don't know what is problem with ICICI bank
Receiving OTP is the biggest issue with ICICI Bank. Even I updated my US number in my ICICI bank, Still no use. I never received OTP from ICICI Bank, but sometimes I used to get the account related updates.
Same issue. Its appalling that customers have this problem since 2012 but nothing is done by ICICI.

The customercare exe on phone asked me to send physical copy of the same requestin 7 days which I did. Still the mobile is not updated yet.

Icici use to be a smart bank.
I am facing the similar issue, I am in Canada and my indian mobile is not accessible and hence unable to receive OTP. This is my primary bank and I am totally dependent on this. Can you please advise how can my registered mobile number can be changed.

This is Kishore Athkuri, i am also facing the same issue with mobile number. i am ICICI bank customer from last 15 years. i am in abroad(USA) from last couple of years and i couldn't use ICICI bank account for any transactions due to mobile number issue.

There is no option to update mobile number online which is really inconvenient for online customers.

Other biggest problem is, if i need to convert my Savings account to NRE account system needs mobile number.

Please help in resolving this issue at the earliest.
