[Resolved]  Idea Cellular — Poor Service & harasment

I took the post paid connection (Plan Economy 149) of Idea through the Personnel of Idea Cellular who visited my office on 23rd August 2008. As the address proof I gave him the Bank Statement and Pan Card Xerox. The Address mentioned in the Bank Statement was of my office, since I live in Paying Guest, so I don't have the required address proof. That's why I gave the address of my office. I gave him cheque of 299/ (99 for SIM, 200 as security deposit)-. He told me that whole Maharashtra would local call and 100 minutes of free Idea-Idea to call every month. He also told be that Security deposit of 200 will waive off by adjusting 100/- in 2 consecutive bills. He told me that the connection will be active in next 24 hours.

When the service was not active in next 48 hours, I called the Marketing personnel, and then he told me that after verification, my connection will be restored. On 27th August the person from Idea came to my residence address at 8 PM for verification (1st of all he should be not come to my residence, since I gave my address of my office). Next day he again to my office in the afternoon for verification. On 29th August I got the call for Idea cellular that my verification is successfully completed and connection was restored. The next day 30th August, my service was disconnected. When I called customer service they told me that verification was negative. The reason for negative verification was false. I was told that Verification personnel didn't found me at my residence and instead he talked with my brother. I am alone living in Mumbai, My brother lives in US and my parents live in Ranchi. Then on what basis the verification was negative and Idea cellular cheated me on this issue. They will again send the person for re-verification. After several call to customer service and mail to the Nodal officer, the Idea Personnel came to my residence after 2 weeks. He never visited my office, which was my valid address. This was the violation of rule set by Telecom department, which would result in penalty for Idea cellular. These are only few of complaints I suffered and list is long.

I was levied the roaming charges when I visted Pune and made call. In the Bill Statement, the 100/- was not adjusted and told to me that 100/ was Idea-Idea local call. Even the idea cellular failed to take action on the marketing personnel who lied me. I called to customer service and logged the 3 request to disconnection of the service. I was told that I have to visit idea store. I told him that I have no time to visit the Idea cellular and I am going out of City. Then Customer service personnel told that you would be receiving the SMS for disconnection of service. After several request, the request is not being serviced after raising request 3 weeks ago.

I have suffering the poor service, False committed made by Idea cellular, mental harassments, and loss of time and money due to period my Incoming was blocked. I asked for the compensation which they refused to do so. Now they sent personnel to my residence to collect the bill amount.

I don't have objection in giving the pending bill amount. But I want to ask the questions to Idea Cellular, Who will compensate me for the Poor Service, Unserviced Period, Mental harassments, false promises, Violation of telecom rule etc.

I was the happy customer of Idea cellular (Pune) from Jan 2005 to Nov 2006. I am also the shareholder of Idea cellular. I have lost the trust in Idea cellular. I will advise all my friends to think 100 times while taking the service of Idea cellular ( in broad any product from Aditya birla Group).

Don't treat this complaint as negative but to improve your service and gain the trust of your esteemed customers.

Idea Cellular — Harasment for faulty bill payment (for the service I am not able to use)

Hello Sir,

I Gaurav Kumar Hada was using an Idea data card for internet use for around 2yrs and paying my bills on time. But 3 months before from when I was stopped using it, I have complained them several times that I was facing some problem related to the data card internet speed, but they are not able to solve my problem, due to which I have given them an instruction that I will pay further bills only if they will solve my problems related to internet speed. But again there will be no action from Idea Cellular.

And now they are saying that they are going to file a case against me at Tees Hajari Court for not paying the bills.
So, please tell me how can I go further on this issue?
In my opinion its better to pay the Lawyer rather than paying them the amount of Rs.1800.

i m prepaid user of idea cellular.my no [protected] n idea has my outgoing calls barrad. i m submitted my id proof three time in idea store shakti nagar amritsar.but they r not give me any response.kindly start my out going calls and take action for staff. from my account without providing any services. when i talk to customer care they gave me fact which are not logical and i m totally disagree of those fact. they r totally responsible towards their user.

n they haven't refund my money yet. i m hop-fully waiting for your appropriate response.

i am one of the customer in idea cellular connection. one month on wards around my home no coverage or no signal.. totally problem... 3 times i complaint to idea customer care and pathanamthitta zonal office and nodel offer. no response to all 3 tower in my locality vakayar tower and elyyarrakkal and konni tower. no use ...please solve my problem

the customer care o[censored]rs is very poor in service.i would deliberately like to bring to ur kind notice that despite several calls to ur customer care to deactive the caller tunes set on my mobile by you and not by our mistake, the customer care is not able to give proper solution to our problems.instead they are telling us to call on some number to deactivate it rather than deactivating through ur system.since u can activate a caller tune through ur system but while deactvating it u give several unnecessary reasons.because o[censored]r mistake my balance has been deducted several times.that to u can check on ur system.whenever there is an emergency for us make a call and u deducting our balance in this way, whom shall we complain?i need balance deducted by u refunded or else i will throw ur sim in dustbin.teach ur customer care to give proper solutions to customers queries and problems instead of apoligising for not able to solve it or giving fake reason that our server is down.

IDEA MOBILE — poor service, not responding to complaint

I have transported my mobile connection(no. [protected]) from Vodafone to Idea network under no. portability scheame on 15/02/2011. Since then I am not getting any call/sms from any no. which start from 93----. I have made written complaint and telephonic complaints for not less than 15 times but the problem remains the same. One incharge person(no. [protected]) to whom I called more than 10 times gave explanation that meeting is to be held at corporate level(probably between Ambanis and Birlas) to discuss the issue. So we can not tell how much time more will it take? When I asked what shll iI do, he advised me to go to press or consumer forum. I am not able to understand what to do? do I have to put my energy,time and money into it or I can get it rectified without that?
i was very satisfied with services provided by idea. But now from last month,
automatically services get started and my balance is deducted. On sending the deact message, the message is not able to send, after hot discussion idea agreed to return 10 rs to my account.
in last week again triple bonanza service is activated automatically and in 6 days my 30 rs. got deducted, on discussion with customer care, they are not ready to repay back my balance.
If this will be the case then i will not be able to go with Idea.

i m distributor of idea cellular ltd in agra. i m also not happy for idea cellular servic, because we dont have good plan's and scheem's for STD calling and SMS. and company not provide P.C.O. sim time to time.
I was using idea no. [protected] from last 8-10 years and taken this no. as life time. Due to some reasons i was not able to use this no. from last 2-3 months. But my no. is totally in ON only recharge was not done in this period. Now Idea has given this no. to some one other person without intimating me that your no. had been disconnect. I was a using this no. and have so many contacts on this no. as i am a marketing guy.

As i had requested the person who have this no. now he is not agree to give me back this no.

Kindly tell me what to do. Shall i go through consumer court to Idea and launch a court case on them due to this reason.

I too had idea connection no. [protected]. They also sent me unjustified billing amount once I asked them to disconnect my numbers. I received many calls from recovery agents.

But they don't want to listen about it.

Hi,
I have two idea post paid connections. I have issues with both the numbers.
1) I have been charged roaming on 18th of April 2011, This is very much wrong as I was in my local circle only. Secondly 18th april was a part of last billing cycle but the idea people have included it in this billing cycle i.e bill of may 2011. I was on roaming till 17 april mid night, I can very much prove that by giving the train number through which I was travelling. On 18th april I was in my local circle. This issue is for both the number i.e[protected] and[protected].

2) This month on 14th may i have been charged 203.60 rupees for 3G Internet usuage,,, I have not been using these services from many days but then also this amount is charged. I am sure this is an wrong amount charged, I gave a request to waive the same or provide me the details of the usuage, I want to know the details of these 203.6 charged to me, details like what I surfed etc etc. This issue is for number [protected]

I have been constantly asking the idea people to provide me the bits and details of both these issues, but the idea executives are reluctant to understand and they say that the charges are as per there records and there records are completely right.

to get all the details of my calls and what all I surfed, but I haven’t yet received the information of what all I have surfed.

This is not the first time there is problem with the billing, ....last time it was in month of feb 2010 when i was charged wrong roaming charges for sms.

3) I have been sending mails regarding the following issue since 6 months....but no action has yet been taken.....following is the issue-


I had taken IDEA Connection - CUG in june/july 2009. I took two connections and paid a deposit of 500. The idea excutive kept fooling me for the receipt of my deposit. He finally said that he will sms me the receipt number. But when i enquired with that number it does not show any deposit. I have been trying to reach that executive. But he is not answering my call and just trying to fool me.

Following are the details-

I have mailed IDEA thrice regarding this...everytime I get a answer that action will be taken.

For all this three issues I get calls from different idea executive , every executive gives me a different answers. So many executives calls up, gives different answers and confuses the matter. But they don’t try to solve the matter and just fool the customer. Out of these 3 request IDEA has closed my first two request without reaching any consensus with the customer i.e with me. Infact one executive from the billing department called me up and said that the charges will be waived but few mins after that IDEA didnt care to waive any amount rather they just closed my request.

All these matter does not relate to huge amount of rupee, it may ony 550- 600 rupess, but I request you to please take this matter on priority basis as the question is not regarding money, its regarding the truth and stopping these telecom companies to exploit the customers.

Idea Cellular — Charged for bad service

I am postpaid subscriber of Idea cellular, since last 50 days getting call drop issue where i am getting charged for every calldrop, complaint given to CC also at nodal office, nobody from idea suppose to responce. me and my friends using 8 idea postpaid numbers, thiking for MNP due to same issue.
I request to Idea cellular's Nodal officer & managment to give a responce to my mail mentioning that " Idea is unable to care and resolve issues of postpaid suscriber and request to port out from Idea asap"

I am a Idea cell phone user my number is ([protected]) last five years from now I am receiving many unwanted phone call and massages of advertisements. I am totally disturbed from this type of calls and mugs. & balance deducted for these type msg. & calls. Please stop this kind of calls and messages.

i activate internet pack of RS 60 or i used internet from last 8days but now its not working or when i call to customer care then computer says call after 24hours, or if i call after 24hours then they deduct 50paisa from my a/c for 3mints when my call was on hold, can i know if he did not help us or not give us a good service then why they make a customer care, idea provide vry poor service i rqst u to all plz dont use idea network becoz they r big cheaters and aditya birla group is a big cheater who give poor service...
