[Resolved]  Irctc — irctc very slow

is the irctc.co.in really a site? i am really having serious doubts whether the site is being maintained at all.. it is more like it has been abandoned by the concerned officials. whenever i try to book a thatkal ticket the infamous blank page with the dreaded words "SERVICE UNAVAILABLE" pops up. is this the new slogan of the indian railways?
common people like me are still in the dark about for whose benefit the site is really being hosted, whether for the passengers' or the agents' benefit.
it would be apt to change the name of the site to "agentreservation.co.in.". may be the officials would consider this so that it would atleast enlighten the passengers about the real intentions of the maintaining officials.in other words it is better to call a spade a spade.

Please please please fix the IRCTC site... it wastes important time... get more server space for all the money spent on travelling to delhi and doing dharnaas against the government!!

I have never seen such a pathetic site in my life. Why it become so slow and dies for tatkal. Giving excuse of multiple pleople using it very old. like google is also used by millions and billions of people around the people but we don't getting message like server is busy and it also maintains it speed. hope Indian railway department will do something to improve atleast seed of the website

I'm very sick of the IRCTC website. I have been trying to book tickets for an entire day now. Either the station codes don't get selected or the date doesn't get selected
WHY CAN'T THE RAIL MINISTRY PRIVATIZE AT LEAST THE WEBSITE?

HIRE those people those who really know how to manage networks and shunt other craps out of the railways..

One think I would like to add is that "Ticket bookers" If you are booking a ticket please make sure to carry 3 times the fare amount in your account...
"BECOZ the ticket never get book "THE FIRST TIME" due to the crap server.and money gets DEDUCTED...

i just paid for the fare and it's been around 10 mins i m waiting for the server to response... what's happening??? online recharge systems do these kind of processing very fast... please try to improve ur site and learn something from them... and i would request railway minister to book the ticket at least once a month so that he understands the actual problem..

IRCTC is very slow in the morning hours always show Communication failure. Very bad service.

mai gaon jaane ke liye 1 hapte se pareshan hu net nahin khulta irctc ka, no service, this wabe page not avilable, communication problem, 10am ke samay aisa hota hai dalal ke paas jao to dalal 2000 rs. mangta hai, kuchh to karo 1 tiket ka samay de do khul jaye, baaki weting bhi chalega

aaplog bolte ho ki net pe ticket book hoga, jab net khulega hi nahin to kaise book hoga, aap log kuchh to karo, dalalon ke paas jaane ke liye paise nahin hai,

I tried to book a tatkal ticket today. I am wondering why the Government is not taking proper action for the slowness in opening the page.
The page didnt not load from 10 to 11 am. How will the users take tatkal ticket. When will the Government officials take responsibility.

Railways charging money for this service
As any govt dept, railways take public granted, make people to suffer as much as possible
Railways should start thinking that they are providing service for charge not free and responsible for the same
Otherwise leave it private service provider

I tried using one of the best broadband and still I could not. There is big lobby behind the railway ticket booking and they purposefully slows down the server. They will change the reason time after time. The lobby grown rapidly during the last few years and they are able to control the Indian railway system. I do not think any use in sending this complaint to IRCTC when they may be involved in this but I want to know to whom I can send a complaint so they can look this issue independently. I am really sick of this Tatkal booking and really frustrating at least not able to log in to system.

I am a frequent user of IRCTC, now its performance dead slow. Getting hours to take ticket. I understand that government want hand over this national asset to somebody, before that they want get more complaint from public, then they can easily handover public asset to somebody and politician also can loot lot of money in the name of handover, its fate of India... need to respond this. ...

There is a big lobby behind it more than we imagine. They control they system. They pay money to all person involved in railway and one of them are IRCTC website maintenance team. They just adjust the server and website. We need CBI probe and put all of them in Jail. Never know when India will become corruption free.

Indian rail you suck... Eat you dogs who operate on the sites... You are no benefit to indians at large who rely heavily on you...Sud ke maroge kutton...

IRCTC — Refund against cancelled e-ticket

I have cancelled e-ticket against PNR [protected] on 03.04.2015 but the refund amount of Rs 10260 is not refunded to my respective bank account till now.
