[Resolved] Passport — delay in passport | |||
My daughter Ms SAKSHI has applied for new passport at RPO RK Puram New Delhi on 20.12.2010 vide File No.A073866 dated 20.12.2010. The status is showing "PASSPORT WAS PROMISED FOR DELIVERY BY POST ON 21.03.2011. BUT IT IS NOT READY. PLEASE MEET CONCERN PUBLIC RELATION OFFICER". In this connection we have met the PRO (Mr. Khanna Room No.11 first floor) on 24.3.2011 who assured us that the passport will be sent within 2-3 days as there was no objection in application form. But after 4 days when I saw the status it was showing as above. Then I again met the PRO on 28.3.2011 and he said the same thing as said earlier. But after all this exercise the status is still showing as above. I request the concern authorities to look into the matter and send the passport at the earliest. Was this information helpful? | |||

Passport delay - PRO
Dear sir/Madam,
This is regarding passport delay concern. I submitted the application for indian passport on date 14May, 2010 at passport collection centre sonipat, But I have not received passport till date (04/01/2011). My File Referance no is Z480404. Police enquary has been also done. When i enquaried through internet The comments are showing that No information available regarding this File Ref. No. Pls Help me to get my passport as soon as possible.

I applied passport in Hyderabad to my minor daughter on[protected] ref:- File Reference Number : HYD-I[protected]
its already 1/2 year gone ie., 6 months over, according to your site the status from past 3 months its showing the same as
STATUS :It is to regret that due to unavoidable circumstances the despatch of Passport has been delayed and will now be despatched in a week's time.
also i went to passport office to get the status as the internet status was the same, I approched the enquiry office
after standing for more than 3 hours i got a statement that it will be deliverd within a week(as same as internet)
this was said in the counter on 15th dec 2010.
to whom i should approch and also the GRIEVANCE in the site is not working.
can u please say the actual status or can u make the file move fast.
if this is the case they are somany citizens are suffering can u please look into this and do the needful.

Dear Manish,
The policy section of the passport office deals with the complicated application i.e if you have any penalties mentioned by the passport act 1962.
For example if they found you have hide the past one year of stay address they will move your application to policy section and ask you to pay fine and an explanation letter for that.
mails and Phone calls wont work.
you have to approach the pro.
You can take the print out of the web status and straight away go to the passport office and give it to the enquiry counter your problems will be solved.(if it is not severe).
I will suggest you to meet the P.R.O.
BTW, PRO means "Public Relation Officer" in concerned passport office from where u applied.

I had applied for my passport on 23 Feb 2011 and the police verification was done on 25th Feb 2011. I am still waiting for my passport.
When i checked with the policeman who had called me with the documents, he informed me that he had sent it to the CID office on 19 April. I have not received any update till now. I called the 1090 number several times but they keep informing me that the documents are with the CID office. The Mumbai police website only shows the status as 'Received From TROMBAY Police Station PSR status on[protected]'. All my documents are proper as per the passport criteria and I even submitted all necessary documents at the police station. ALSO THE POLICE HAD ASKED ME FOR MY SALARY SLIP WHICH I DONT THINK IS NECESSARY FOR VERIFICATION AS PER THE PASSPORT GUIDELINES.
