Reliance Infrastructure — Harassment of a customer who has opted for a switchover

Address:Mumbai Suburban, Maharashtra

This is to bring to your notice that I have made a switchover application from Reliance Infrastructure to Tata power vide my request number 11CR042802 dated 16th Dec 2010 (Reliance Account no:[protected]. The switchover could not happen on 11th Jan as scheduled as Tata Power did not have the necessary meter for the same. The same has to be rescheduled for February and I was informed that it can be done after the bill is paid for the month of Jan (As Reliance Infra does not send its person/schedule a switchover till the bill is paid). Now Reliance Infrastructure which generates the bill normally by the first week of the month (this has happened without fail for 2 yrs that I am staying at my present place) has so far (today is the 20th of Feb) not generated the bill. The response on calling them is that it there could be a problem with the meter reading. Is it a coincidence that the meter reading has a problem in the month when the swicthover has to happen? Is there no timeframe where the bill has to be generated so that the customer can pay it and the switchover happens. Reliance infrastructure is purposely doing this to prevent customers from switching over and I would request you to look into the same and take action/modify the rules so that the customer doesnt get harrassed by companies such as Reliance Infra.
