[Resolved]  Reliance Infrastructure — Replaced meter

Good evening Sir/Madam,

The Reliance Energy (Reliance Infrastrucre) employee has changed my meter without my permission or intimating me on 14th july 2012.

I was not aware of that and when i received the Bill, additional Meter charges of Rs759.58 were added to it
I approaced the Reliance office in Bandra Government colony and asked them that i was not aware and why the reason they have changed the meter.

They explained me that your meter was burnt. (IT IS FALSE STATEMENT AS OUR ELECTRICITY WAS NEVER OFF.)

They are saying that your meter was burnt and hence we replaced with with a new one and gave me new meter no., however the NEW METER has starting reading of 12000+, so how it can be a new one. This is their fault and they are asking me to pay the charge of Rs759.58/-

I met the manager and the General Manager but they failed to explain me that the meter is new but the reading has not been started from 12000+ instead of 0.

New meter no. 4938447 Starting from 12714 (And they are telling me that this is the new meter)
It their duty to give the service if anything gets wrong, because we pay a fixed charge of Rs200/- per month.

I request you to please help me in this matter and resolve it as it has happened for the 2nd time.
