I had bought a Samsung star s5233w on the 21st of sept 2009. I have no problems with the working of the phone as such. The only glitch or annoyance that I have is that the PC suite installed using the CD of the same as provided along with the phone package, does not support the internet settings of my service provider, namely Aircel telecommunications. There is also no manual data feeding option and hence I am unable to utilize the phone as a modem and use the internet on my laptop. This is one of the reasons that I had bought the phone as I wished to check my email on the move.
I would like a patch or upgrade to include the Aircel services into the PC suite of the Samsung star s5233w. I had talked to you company's customer representative and they are poorly trained/informed about such problems and hence give your company a bad PR. The Aircel service representatives that I spoke to gave me the manual settings, but as there is no manual settings options i cannot even utilize that information. Thus, I would like it very much if a patch concerning these issues is released as soon as possible.
Hi, i am also facing the issue with Mobile office with airtel . I had activated mobile office but it was not working . When I called up airtel customer care i got the info that in S 5233 W automatically mobile office seetings can not be installed hence they gave me manual settings . To update this You need to go to Main Menu---browser ---browser profiles--select mobile office( or what ever the name respective mobile service provider call it as ) then click the on the two arrow mark signlas pointed towards right hand side then enter the settings . Once you configure the settings restart the modem cell phone, if it is still not working then take out the Sim card put it back then try it .
After doing all these circus if it works its your luck if not better luck next time.
Not yet received the product - Samsung Star touch mobile S5233W

Same issue with samsung star wifi. My laptop connects fine to the wifi but the phone would connect but always returns dns error. Tried manual dns but it does not help. Also tried other wifi routers but the issue persists.
Support is very poor, Software very poor, we are 2009 going to 2010 software 1990. well I change to Nokia. is there any support .

i m also facing the same issue, i also get the DNS failed error while browsing the internet, i can connected with my wireless but cant browse the internet, i think samsung fools their customer by giving the wifi.
