[Resolved] ACT Fibernet — disconnection request and refund process | |||||
My account id is[protected] and my name is aniket. I had booked act blaze plan on sept 1st 2019 and prepaid for 3 months by paying 3750 inr and got free installation and router. But after a month i had to relocate and act told me there's no feasibility at my new address so i should go for disconnection. After applying for disconnection on 1st october 2019 i was assured that it would be done within a week according to their policy but after numerous calls and visiting their indiranagar office it took 2 weeks and a threat of lawsuit which made them finally disconnect my connection on 13th october 2019. Then comes the issue of refund. Since i had used the connection for 43 days and paid for 90 days i was supposed to get back the rest of the amount as it was act who had asked me to go disconnection. Since 13th october 2019 i have been calling them repeatedly asking about the status of refund with little or no replies from them. I personally went to their indiranagar office to return the router so that i could get the refund process started. I even talked to the nodal officer, ms. Papita who assured me if i returned the router they would definitely return back my money. So i went and did that and got an acknowledgement that i have returned the router and once they receive the router at their store they would initiate the refund process. Finally, on 21st october 2019 i received a call and an email from them asking about my bank details and i provided that info immediately and got an email on 22nd oct 2019 that the refund process has been initiated by neft and the amount of 2020inr should reflect in my bank account within a week's time. Since then it has been 9 days but i still haven't received any money in my account. And after calling their customer care which is the most useless service i have ever come across in my entire life as well as calling their nodal officer which by now is a new person, i still can't get any info if it has actually been processed or is their any transaction id for the refund. This constitutes as fraud as they sent me an email saying they have refunded my money but evidently there's no record of it in their system nor can they assure me if it has ever happened or will happen. It seems like a company like act is so cheap and deceitful that they won't even refund an amount of 2020 inr for sevices which i am not even using anymore. And to top it off today on 31st october 2019 they decided to reactivate my account today without my consent and when i somehow got in touch with their retention team i was assured by 2 different people that the wrongful activation of my connection will be reversed by the eod. What they managed to do is upgrade my plan and revise the bill which is the opposite of what i asked them to do. So please be beware and go for any other isp in bangalore but don't ever subscribe for act as they're the worst in the business in terms of service and credibility. They lie till you buy their service and then take back any promises they made like our politicians. Their customer care executives are always clueless and give you bogus info or assurances and most of the time don't even raise a ticket when you want them to. Here are the screenshots of the emails i received from act saying they have refunded the money.
