ACT Fibernet — Data usage shows exaggerated figures

Sir, this is about "ACT Fibrenet Internet Service Provider" services data usage in my account.Here, a clear account of data usage is not being shown on daily/weekly basis(details are not at all shown, only the amount of data used is shown).As such there is scope of many wrong and exaggerated usage, on the part of ISP. My data usage starts on 17th of every month afresh.today on 18th Dec 2015, the site in my account shows that i have already utilised 4.9 GB of data, within a day.This is shocking, as i am sure i did not use this much of the service.So i suspect that there is an error in the calculation of the same.Or even the ISP is exaggerating the same, so that the speed can be reduced after the FUP limit is crossed. I want the concerned person/department to look into this aspect and needful action is expected from them at once. thanks. -Prashant

Hi,
this is to bring it to the notice of all the concerned personnel in ACT Fibrenet Services and the Public that with respect to my previous complaint about the "exaggerated DATA usage figures" on the part of the ISP, the problem is still continuing as earlier.
The response team from the "ACT Fibrenet Services" adviced me to change my password to login to my account, which i followed. But to my surprise, evern after that the problem is present.

I feel that the service provider is showing the wrong data usage details, so that after crossing the FUP limit, the speed is reduced to a very low level, which is against the attractive offer of their advt. being presened to the common public.

If any other user of this or another ISP has the same problem, do let me know by mail.

Those of you in general thinking to get connected to this ACT Fibrenet Services for "internet connection", i advice not to go for this new connection, as proper support / clarification is not given to users in this aspect.

Hi.. I also had the same problem of showing exaggerated data usage. It has been so worse that it showed I finished 50 gb in 4 days. Finally, disappointed with their answers, I had to go for disconnection.
