I am an ACT Fibernet subscriber based in BTM Layout, Bangalore, and I’ve been facing persistent high ping, unstable routing, and degraded online gaming experience, specifically while playing Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB). Despite the company’s promises of lag-free gaming and consistent low latency, my connection frequently routes through Delhi or Chennai, instead of Mumbai (nearest optimal location), resulting in ping spikes exceeding 40ms–60ms, with high jitter and instability.
This issue is ongoing despite multiple attempts to seek help through:
Customer care calls, which are frequently put on hold or disconnected.
Twitter support and emails, which only result in generic replies with no resolution.
One representative, Minla, made an effort to assist, but the core technical team (NOC) failed to take corrective action or communicate clearly.
Additionally, I was misled by ACT's customer service into purchasing a dual-band router costing ₹2, 500 from Amazon under the impression that the router was the issue. After installation, the performance remained the same, confirming that the problem lies entirely with ACT’s routing and backbone configuration, not the user’s equipment.
In a previous 6-month plan, ACT also failed to provide the promised dual-band router, further highlighting misleading practices and broken commitments.
These ongoing technical failures, combined with lack of proper support and false advertising of a lag-free, gaming-optimized connection, have caused considerable mental stress and wasted time. Online gaming is part of my routine and peace of mind, and ACT’s lack of accountability has disrupted that.
I am requesting the following:
1. Immediate resolution of the routing and high ping issue, with sustained low latency (under 20ms to Mumbai).
2. A refund for the router cost incurred due to misleading advice.
3. Alternatively, a waiver of penalties and exit from ACT Fibernet without charges.
Other ACT users across Tamil Nadu and Karnataka have reported similar routing issues, proving this is not an isolated case but a structural network problem.
If ACT cannot provide what it advertises, this is a case of false marketing and a violation of consumer trust. I urge strict attention and corrective action.
