ACT Fibernet — If we don't recharge prepaid account then they are sending threatening messages
I am using prepaid internet services of act fibernet account number[protected] from past more than 6 months. This month due to some personal reasons i did not recharge my prepaid account. From the next onwards there are so many messages daily basis are being sent and after a week or so they have started sending threatening emails and messages. I replied to them copying their modal and appellate email addresses. I got the call and i told them i am using prepaid internet service and this month i decided not to recharge. Then how come i have to pay the bill if i have not used the service at all. Because if we don't recharge the same day the internet services will be disconnected by them. But they are claiming their service is neither prepaid nor postpaid. So even if i don't recharge and use their service i need to pay the whole month fees. This is not acceptable and they are clearly trying to loot the consumers and threatening them to take legal actions and all. I am using internet services from various internet providers but never had this kind of worst experience. I never expected act is like this kind of company. They are not consumer friendly but only money making and threatening their customers company. I was using jio internet prepaid service previous to this, it was so pleasant experience with them i did not recharge many times in between and there was no issue.
I believe trai has to look into their this policy who are trying to fool and threaten and making money from customers and how can they have this kind of subscription which is neither prepaid nor postpaid?
I request to the consumer council to help me on this matter to close this account without paying any money for which i have not utilized any services. And also to escalate this matter with trai to either make act to keep transparent prepaid or postpaid service or cancel their licence who are troubling and threatening their customers.
