I would like to raise a complaint against ACT Fibernet for its fraud. I'm a ACT Fibernet customer for over 8 years and everything was smooth until this post pandemic, when I had issues related to electricity incurred due to junction box and dropped a ticket to Customer Support for troubleshooting it. The technician arrived at my doorstep and then he started to repair the box and mentioned that due to more than 8 cables, the electricity is high and he said, he is going to charge additional Rs: 300/- for the box and claimed to add it to the original bill. I paid the cash every month and he use to call his superior and confirm the payment and send a bill. My original plan opted is Rs: 1200/- however, the bill after i paid extra Rs: 300/- is Rs: 1500/-. The technician used to send emails from support (ACT) and this has continued between Jan'21 to Nov'21. The same bills I have submitted in my company. During the audit, I came to know that the bills which technician from ACT submitted, are tampered. Unfortunately, I cannot retrieve those emails which technician used to send due to storage issues in my GMAIL personal account as these emails are deleted due to the filter which deletes emails more than 30 days.
I tried reaching out to head office of ACT however, I cannot get any help from the team and asked me to reach out to nodal team of ACT. I drafted multiple emails to the Nodal team and mentioned about the issue and asked for the emails however, the ACT is sending the online bills but not the ones which are added with additional charges (rs: 300/-).
During the calls with the support team, I get multiple responses like the technician is dead, he is not working here, he is no more with the company and all. From overall investigation which i have done from my end on ACT Fibernet, I see that the company hires third party vendors who has part timers and change to different locations based on request.
I don't have hard evidences however, I have many eye witnesses during the payments and also during the visits at my place. Since I'm unaware of this box and how it works or consumes, the fell into the technicians words and thought whatever he is saying is right and had paid him since he is from ACT support.
I have became the victim of the fraud from the third party company who is hired by ACT fibernet and now the company claims that they don't have such process or people. There are many incidents in my area and with also with my friends of such issues and money frauds. I aint able to understand what to do now.
I really need help and justice from the Consumer team in understanding my issue and helping me with this case.
