I have been ACT customer from more than a decade.
And the product experience wise I really dont have any issue, but the horror is towards the service they give you.
When they asked me for a junction box installation I was quite ok, since considering uninterrupted services I may get over the time. This was quite true.
But the horror struck when the Power Surcharge started to hit me.
I have been penalized by BESCOM bangalore Electricity board with 300INR every month.
WHy?? Because I am supporting such commercial activities for people like ACT.
Whats this Power surcharge? Why Penalty?
ACT ofcourse pays some peanuts towards the UNITs of Consumption - Yes thats fine.
What about the Surcharge that happens when so many Connections drawn from your home uses so much electricity at once. Voilaaa! you will be given a Penalty from Electricity board saying that you are running some un authorized power consumption.
Result ? Every month I am asked 200 to 300 INR as penalty other than Units of Consumption. Its been more than 3000 INR I have paid as Penalty so far.
Action by ACT? Close their eyes and not tell the Customer about this. For the network Engineer when I enquired, it was said this is basic thing Companies like ACT should take care.
Now consider so many Customers who dont even know whats happening with them and yet they continue to pay huge amounts of penalty without knowing.
I want all this Penalty amount refunded and Junction box removed from my residence. And It should be very clear that ACT mentions this during installation in any residence with standard written consent.
