[Resolved] ACT Fibernet — refund of payment for new fibernet connection | |||||
I have applied for a new act fibernet connection on 24th november 2017. As it so happens the procedure to apply for a new connection in act is to make a payment upfront for the 1st month and the installation charges.in total i had to make a payment of rs 1888/- on the 24th nov. City name: bangalore Account no:[protected] Contact number: [protected] I was promised that the service would be provided within 5 days of applying for it. While i am writing (6th dec) this complaint its been 12 days since then. I still have not received my connection. I have had to call and follow up with them on a daily basis, even despite that everyday the only assurances that i get is that somebody will call you the next day to look into it. However i dont get any calls within the 24 hours, when i call them i get the same response. Whats more appalling is most of the times nobody picks up the customer care phone number. At times when they do pick up the only response i get is we will look into it within the next 24 hours and no response since then. Even after writing to the bangalore nodal officer and the appellate authority, the only response i get is a generic automated email. At this point i am really frustrated with their service and do not wish to continue any further down this path, because i can only imagine how their service will be once i get a connection (If by any chance i get a connection within a month or two i guess). So i decided that i will ask them for a refund, as there's no point in pleading for their service being "customers'. Its been 2 days since asking for a refund, i still have not got any acknowledgment from act. This is completely shocking and appalling. Whats even more surprising is that, when i go through consumer forum there are a lot of similar complaints against act.
