I wanted to transport my ertiga car from Rajkot (Gujarat) to Delhi. And I believed that Agarwal packers (APML) was always the best so without much thinking I booked my car through them around a week before the actual required departure.
I think that was one of the worst day of my life! once I booked, calls kept coming in every 2nd day asking about the confirmation and when the driver can pick up the car.
The previous evening I again confirmed that the driver should pick up as the car was at my relative's place and hence I asked when will the driver go and pick up. They confirmed that 9.30 sharp ! I confirmed the same to my relative.
Now I was in office and suddenly at 10.30 I receive a call from relative that the drive has not come yet ??! Coming out of meeting, immediately I called APML guy. He was completely blank as if not bothered and just passed on the number of the driver. That was the first shock !
Anyway, I was in a hurry so just called the driver and he said that he will reach by 11.30 ! I apologized to the relative and informed him accordingly. But I was un aware that this was just the beginning of the trauma. I had clearly informed driver that if any query regarding the location, he can connect to the relative and gave him the number. Still again driver called me at 11.30 and I had to come out of the meeting. He said that he is at the location and he is not able to find the house. On coordinating with relative, I came to know that he was just standing at the near by house !
Finally I thought now all ok and things will go on smoothly and entered my important meeting again. But then to my surprise call came in again after half an hour asking where is spare wheel located ??? I was literally shocked ! An APML driver who was well informed in advance that ertiga car is to be picked up, doesnt know where the spare wheel is ? and its not Merc or any other super vehicle, just maruti ertiga car. Anyways, I absorbed that shock too and informed him accordingly. The agony didnt end there. Again he called up after 5 min asking where is the tool kit ??? I got a bit irritated but no option so informed him that and even questioned his capability. But that was not enough. Again I received a call after 5 min asking me how to open the bonnet of the car ???!!! That was enough. I really got frustrated and called up the APML guy and informed him all this. he was very casual and told that he is just a driver ?? can you imagine !! a driver doesnt know where is the spare wheel and how to open the bonnet..
Anyways, when all of this is done and my meeting already ruined, the driver sends me photo of the kilometer reading the fuel tank indicator which is clearly showing at nearly half the mark but when he mentions in the paper, he shows it at near empty level !! I strongly protested but he said that this is how it is. I really got angry at him but the relative had to leave since he was already getting late so I just said ok and let the car go. But there was another shock, the driver informed that the car will be driven from Rajkot to Ahmedabad and then from ahmedabad it will be loaded into the truck !! No where they mentioned this at the time of booking and now I realized why he was insisting to mention as less fuel so that he can run on my fuel and eat away all that money. I was really disappointed with APML at that point and thought I will complain once the car reaches here. But where did I know that this was just the beginning ... yes... just the beginning !!
Incidentally I have gps installed on my car so I can know where the car has reached and to my surprise the car was in Rajkot the full day and even next day ?! so I called up and asked. They informed me that due to driver issues, now it will go to Ahmedabad and they bluntly told me that they have already informed that it will take 8 to 10 days for the car to reach so I shouldn’t bother until them (where as ideally it should take 3 to 4 days max) Anyways so I kept quiet until the time I came to know that car has reached Gurgaon but then the second round of torture started..
Once it reached Gurgaon, I called up their call center to check the status since it was not showing online ! Can you imagine, the call center picked up the call after 3 min ??!! and after talking to me they again put me on hold for another 3 min just to check… only to let me know that they are not able to connect with the relevant delivery guy at Gurgaon !!
At first I thought this was only 1 time response and hence again I tried the second day and then I realized that their standard response time is 3 min for the call center. Really the worst customer response I have ever seen in my life time. And again the same thing ! that they are not able to connect to the delivery guy.. so frustrated I asked them to pass on the number of the delivery guy which they happily deed !!
At first I felt weird that how can customer service be so pathetic but I realized it only when I tried talking to the real delivery “manager” Mr. Manjeet at Gurgaon. After calling him thrice, finally he picked up the phone and when I told him the details, he asked him sent him the same. He will check and confirm in 5 min. Obviously that 5 min never happened. And it was the second day since my car parked in Gurgaon and I wanted it in Delhi that’s just 50 kms…
So I called him again.. and only just after calling him 14 times… yes 14 times… he picked up the phone and told me that car is at different location and he will receive the same late night and hence will send it to me the next morning.
In the mean time I had already escalated the matter by some how again managing to call at their call center and they passed on the bug to some other call center people who mentioned that someone will call them back … again obviously no one bothering to call and help !!
That 4th day, I had series of important meetings and hence I forgot to follow up with Mr. Manjeet and hence obviously there was no delivery… again I tried calling the great Mr. Manjeet but even after calling 24 times… yes 24 times… when he didn’t pick up the call… again I had to call the useless call centre obviously without any recourse.. just telling me that someone will call me and resolve…
By this time, I was fully exhausted, .. frustrated and destroyed… but the agony was still far from over… yes… far from over… On the 5th day after calling 33 times to honorable Shri Manjeet ji, some driver called me and told that he is bringing my car and asked me to send the address and location. I was happy and on cloud nine as if I won a lottery !! yippee… but alas that was only short lived..
Even after 15 min when the car didn’t move, I called up the driver and he said that there is no fuel in the car and I should talk to honorable Manjeet again !! Alas… I again tried calling Manjeet and to my surprise, he picked up the call and told me that there is no fuel and the car has run 300 kms ???!! ( Rajkot to Ahmedabad is just 200 kms) . I objected that how did it concern me as it was door to door delivery and hence I need the delivery urgently. He disconnected the phone bluntly as if the king got really angry on a peasant questioning his intentions … LOL..
So again I called up driver and he indicated that if I wanted the car immediately I should pay some money to which I arrogantly refused ( see how adamant I am).. Then the driver told me that Manjeet has written mail to Rajkot and once the reply will come only then the car will move !!
I again tried speaking to manjeet and I thanked my stars, as he again picked up my call. I informed him that Rajkot team has already agreed to approve this claim of fuel to which he bluntly told that even if they agree, the don’t pay and hence he cannot say indirectly asking me to pay money so that he can dispatch the car.. and disconnected the phone.. I again tried calling him and this time he picked up again after 24 calls.. against my wishes just to get my car released from these goons, I agreed to pay 500 rs and asked them to release the car immediately..
But alas again for next half an hour there was no movement… so tried calling the driver again.. but now response.. finally after calling him 6 to 7 times, he picked up the call and told me to talk to manjeet again.. Hence again the agony of calling manjeet again started… and as usual again after calling 18 times, one more driver called me and asked me to transfer 500 rs to his account ???!!! Furstrated, for confirmation I again called up manjeet and this time the call immediately and told me to transfer 500 rs to the account mentioned by the driver and the car will dispatch immediately
I transferred the amount immediately and again called driver to confirm. He obliged me and confirmed that the car will move immediately. But alas even after half an hour of defrauding me with money, the car didn’t move so again I called manjeet and obviously there was no response. So after calling 4 times to the driver, he picked up the call and informed that the car is being washed and will go soon.
But even after 1 hour of depositing the ransom, my car didn’t move so again called up the driver. And to my surprise… which no longer remained a surprise, the driver informed that now some other driver will be driving my car !!! so again I tried calling manjeet .. but even calling 57 times… yes 57 times.. he didn’t respond… so again I called driver, he mentioned that now since the driver is not there, the car will move after 1 hour !!
I have already informing them since morning.. that I have a flight in the evening and hence need the car by noon… but still the height of shamelessness and atrocity continued…
In total I tried calling manjeet more than 150 times… and this Agarwal packers and movers apml for you all… I beg and request all of you… if only you want to increase your stress and want to experience the torture, then only go to APML.. otherwise never ever ever go to APML…
I really want to sue APML for the mental torture I have gone through
