[Resolved]  Airtel 4G — WORST service byfar.... and reckless sales reps.....

Around 1st of October I bought an airtel 4G Dongle with sim number [protected]. It has been a nightmare since then!!! After the activation was done on 8th of October, I tried using the dongle First it gave me an error message that there is no registered sim. On 8th of October itself I raised a complaint regarding this. 53589034 was the complaint number. the next day an engineer visited me and took away my 4G dongle for repair. After a few days they said the issue is sorted and one guy came home on the 12th with my dongle. He tried installing the dongle on my laptop. After many tries, it finally showed that the SIM is getting detected and then when we tried to connect, it said status connected but I was not able to browse. The engineer tried for 1 hour and still I could not browse. Later since I was going out of station, I had to leave. The engineer told me that it could be a problem at their network end. He will check internally and revert back to me. Then there was no response or feedback from him. Since I was travelling a lot the next two weeks I also had no time to follow up on the case. Next I call on 29th of October to check if they can or cannot solve this issue. Please note. All this while I have not been able to browse a single site. using the 4G dongle. When I called airtel customer care on 29th, i am surprised to find that the earler case number 53589034 was closed saying issue is solved!!! I was totally taken aback!!! No one from airtel even bothered to find out if the issue was solved, and they just closed the case!!! Anyway the rep who was talking to me in customer support raised a new ticket on 29th Ticket number 53553948. He said that the issue will be resolved by 31st morning. I agree to wait. To my surprise on 30th, I get an SMS from Airtel saying they tried to reach me and since I could not be reached they are closing the case!!! This was the heights!!! The entire world is able to reach me on my mobile number except airtel staf[censored] Now I call the airtel sales representative who sold me the dongle to try to intervene and solve this issue... he said he will check and revert the next day. Next day 31st October, I call up the airtel sales representative. I tried him many times over the day. He never picked up. Tired, I call up customer support again on 31st October. This time I talk to a floor manager. He assures me that a Technician will call me within one hour and that he too would call me in 2 hours time to find out if all is well. He gives me a new service request number 53577189. I dont get a single call!!! Today, 1st of November, I again call up customer service. They say the same excuse again. They tried calling me and I could not be reached!!! I beg with them for one number where I can call and talk to someone who can solve my issue... The customer care executive gave me a number saying that was the Nodal officers number and I can talk to them directly about this problem.. The number given was [protected] and[protected]. I try calling up the mobile number, that again takes me to an IVR!!! not a person!!! Then I call the land line number given. That was a FAX NUMBER. Now I again try the airtel sales rep from a different number. He answered the call. And lo and behold!!! HE STARTED SHOUTING AT ME!!!...when i say how dare you shout at a customer... HE DISCONNECTS THE CALL...then he tries calling me up again...When I call back he says again starts shouting at me and says...ARE YOU THE ONE WHO PAYS ME SALARY...OR DID YOU GIVE ME MONEY???? This was the last straw!!! I again called up the airtel customer care. I opt for the billing department from the IVR. I told the executive who answered my call that I want to cancel my service and I want my money back. This was the best surprise that was comming for me. She says I have an outstanding amount of 700 odd rupees for USAGE!!! Apart from the torture that Airtel has given me... now they are going to charge me for that!!! 700 Rupees!!! Really????? I told her, I want the connection cancelled and my 1500 Rs. refunded for the dongle. She has raised the request for me. Request number is 53589034. But she is not sure of any refund or waiver of the USAGE charges... Can somebody help me here???? I am drained and tired!!!
