I have been a loyal Airtel customer for the last 20 years and my entire family is availing Airtel services. I had purchased the Airtel XStream box (ACCOUNT [protected]) on 3rd October.
The Airtel site explicitly does not mention that the XStream box OTT service cannot be used independently without charging the account . Also the limitation was not advertent during any of the later communications.
As a customer I should be allowed to take an informed decision. I should have a choice to pay for the services I wish to use. The airtel box cannot be used to watch OTT over wi-fi without charging. If I have Amazon services I should be able to watch Amazon independent of being forced to make a payment for TV services.
This limitation jeopardizes my freedom of choice.
On account of this transaction I am feeling cheated and deprived of my privilege to take an informed decision.
Ever since 10th October I have been requesting the Airtel to return the Airtel Xstream box and refund INR2249.
The Airtel is using their big stature to use one sided policies to force a service that does not meet my requirements.
