Airtel — Airtel Prepaid SIM not working in UAE even every month recharges and balance deductions | |||
I am user of Airtel from more than 12 years now. I am an NRI working in UAE and Visit my native in India once or twice a year. Which is delayed during current pandemic situation and from almost a year I have not visited INDIA back home. I had subscribed to a Airtel prepaid life time service SIM card when I was in India. My Mobile phone no is [protected]. It was explained to me by the Airtel Agent that I need to make a recharge of minimum balance every month to keep it active. So every month I was making the recharges for minimum balances and even the main balance out of which the roaming rental for each month was getting deducted. Suddenly from last 3-4 days the sim stopped working for incoming/outgoing calls and currently, only SMS are receiving even the balance is more than Rs 500. Its not possible for NRI, to opt for NRI packages for months for not using services. but, we need to keep the sim active as its mere mandatory to have mobile number nowadays for every financial and non-financial transactions we do. Notably, this is not the first time it is happening to me. Earlier also I had got Mobile No [protected] which was made inactive by Airtel because of this same simple reason of not using the SIM for 90 days though I had balance on SIM and rental deductions were getting charged and at the end airtel raised their hand that they can not do anything. Even, after this had happened I went for Airtel again which was my mistake. This time also I had kept sufficient Credit balance on my SIM, made monthly minimum recharges so that I could keep it active. I simply request AIRTEL to look into the matter and provide a satisfactory service to NRI customers who trust them, which is lacking badly with Airtel as of now. Kindly let me know the status of my SIM card and advice accordingly on how to keep Airtel SIM with me for further use in India without any pain.
