[Resolved]  Airtel — airtel protection plan

I have registered for airtel protection plan in june-2017.

Case #1: few days later, while going for a mooring walk, due to the smoothness of the mobile - i have lost the control of the mobile and it dropped from the hand; which is resulted in small screen damage. I have applied for a claim and the claim got rejected saying "its due to improper handling and not an accidental damage"

Thought o[censored]sing phone with same condition as it was in work condition and i renewed my airtel protection plan again for july-2017, which is valid till 01-aug-2017.

Case #2: while walking down the floor, my legs stuck each-other and toppled down the stairs, which resulted in mobile popped out from the pocket and hit the stairs. Which led to more damage to screen and reduced response from the touch screen. I have applied for the claim on 22-jul-2017 (Got an email saying claim has been submitted), but a day later (23-jul-17) received an email from airtel saying - your request has been closed with no justification.

On 24-jul-17 morning i have called to 121 (Customer care) and the executive informed like the airtel protection plan is no longer applicable for prepaid and hence the claim is not considered. And he mentioned he can fund the amount of 78 inr paid for the plan for july-2017.

This is cheating the people with miss-leading adds and accepting the money when we register. Later if we try to claim the damage, then with a response the plan is no-longer applicable, we will refund. Suppose if i haven't claimed for july-2017, then there is no information reading the airtel protection plan changes and the money i have is waste and airtel cheated the common people.

At the end i struggled to get the register a complaint for further investigation and the number is cascp[protected]. And the supervisor assured a call back in 24hrs.
The attached is the screenshot taken from airtel web-site, it indicates the plan is still applicable on my phone and can claim now. But if claim, then they will close the claim.

Could you please help me and other people by taking the necessary action on this.
