My Airtel prepaid is being used for last two years without any issue, even if I am in Roaming in UAE or randomly returns back to home country India. Whenever go for a vacation, I used to recharge for monthly unlimited plan like I did last time in October 2021. And while I am here in UAE, a recharge of 99 is being carried out every month in order to extend the validity. However, it is recently found that Airtel is not giving service even if my Sim has validity remaining in its current plan. I had contacted Airtel customer care when I found this “no service” issue, and they said my Sim might be damaged. It was absolutely a blunder, as I know my Sim has neither any scratches nor any defects for which I have even verified at a cellular repair shop. During my conversation with Airtel Care, they found difficult to convince (fool) me and after they did some network settings update over the air resulting my Sim got Service signal. This issue happened to my brother also. Later he was forced to take sim duplicate in India. Now, again they have put my sim to No Service. Thinking 99 plan would not be sufficient to activate Roaming, I have now recharged with 799 roaming pack, but still the service is down. This is really loot by Airtel.
