Airtel — Airtel Sales Executive alloted two internet connections and both are being billed

I am based out of Indore. I had applied for Combo connection of both Broadband and Voice through an authorized Airtel outlet named Yuval Infotech on 11 August 2015 in Annapurna area of Indore. I was told that connection will be installed in 4 days, but later on after 8 days I was told that due to some technical issue combo connection could not be installed. A local sales executive named Mr. Kailash Joshi ([protected]) contacted me and asked me to apply for a new internet broadband connection without voice. I applied for the same and he told me that my earlier connection will automatically get cancelled and deposit amount of Rs. 1000 will be refunded. Meanwhile, earlier combo connection I had applied for, also got activated and in time new broadband internet connection also got activated. So, now I have two active connections one combo and other broadband internet in my name. This all has happened due to misguidance and false commitment of the sales person. I tried contacting the same sales person many a times and all the time I was told that I do not have to worry, I will be billed only for one connection and he told me that my Combo connection will be cancelled and soon money will be refunded. Meanwhile my Combo connection was not cancelled and I started receiving call from Airtel for the payment of both the connections. I raised this issue several times with Airtel Customer Care and they gave me complaint number : 58981800 on 27 August 2015 and I was told that this complaint will be resolved in 5 working days by 31 August 2015. It has been 15 days since the complaint was registered but no body from Airtel ever contacted me. On 10 September 2015 I again contacted Airtel Customer Care to get the status of my complaint, I was told that I will receive a call back from senior officials in 2 hours, but to my shock those 2 hours have really not come in last 15 days. Airtel has harassed me to the fullest and now they are not paying any attention to my complaint. Finally I had to reach out to Consumer Court to help me get justice and save me from harassment of Airtel. Thank You Regards Dr. Devagya Muchhal Indore (M.P.) Mobile - [protected]
