Airtel — airtel secure claim rejected | |||||
I had initially secured my handset (Iphone x) with airtel secure filling in all the details airtel requested and paying 99 per month. I had provided all the requested details and then airtel said i am protected under their airtel secure plan. (Attached proof of payment). Then i changed my plan to airtel 499 and in that the airtel secure was automatically included in the plan. There was a small accident and my phone slipped and the screen had a small crack. I had raised a claim providing all the details airtel requested. Then i after a day they rejected my claim saying that i had purchased this mobile outside the country and they are rejecting it because of it. I was totally shocked of this fraud. How could they first take my money and ensure me that i was protected under airtel secure and when claiming it refuse me saying that it was purchased outside country? I had not made any other insurance for my phone because airtel said am protected against liquid and accidental damage. They had all means to check my details from apple to know the purchase country through the imie number provided before even assuring me that i was protected. I am really annoyed with their checky way and would like to know why had they promised me that i was protected for all the months until i had made a claim? Was this information helpful? | |||||
