[Resolved] Airtel — Airtel Secure - Device claim Rejection - Service # 2094392 | |||||
I had raised (Insurance claim) request to get my Mobile phone screen crack fixed. I had explained in detail the exact reason which led to Mobile display screen crack. Airtel representative (8 days after collecting my phone) called me and informed me that the insurance claim was rejected due to negligence. The reason they gave was keeping inside a pant pocket without zip was not recommended. Also, I was informed that someone may have hit me and device fell. I don't understand how the insurance team can presume details on how the device got damaged. I asked them to give me in writing describing the above detail. However, they sent the below e-mail. " We regret to inform that your device claim of Rs.11183.0 has been rejected by the insurance company due to Claim is not admissible due to negligence | No proper care of handset has been taken by insured to safeguard the property.. " I feel Airtel is cheating people by rejecting genuine claim by giving some lame excuse. I do see many people who claimed insurance given the same copy paste excuse.
