[Resolved]  Airtel — Billing for internet use in international roaming

I was using an airtel postpaid connection since 2008. My billing cycle was 27th to 26th. Recently I activated international roaming as I was moving to UK on 4th july. As I am in UK I sent my father to Airtel office to deactivate this int. roaming service and convert the number to prepaid on 7th july. There was an outstanding amount pending of around Rs 1325 but my father was made to pay Rs 1900. Airtel has not yet given a reason for doing so.They only said Sorry. Now I have been told that my bill is Rs 10, 614 for 27 june to 8 july of which Rs 9268 is for international Internet usage of just four days 4th July to 8th July. I have been asking for the Internet usage details since more than a month. Airtel has never given me clear details. Initially I was told that the data usage was 12.868 GB Now I am being told that the data usage was 12.868 MB The Airtel bill displays the data usage as 1324 bytes. I have asked few questions for clarifications but they have not been answered. Airtel is doing a fraud by giving wrong details. I expect people at the nodal level to understand the difference between MB and GB. I have been asking details of what are the URLs/application accessed but I am not getting this data from Airtel. As per the latest mail the data usage is 12.868MB at the rate of Rs5.5 per 10KB. I do not understand how this amounts to Rs 9268. Even though I am communicating with Airtel, Airtel picked up some phone numbers from my call statements and some of my contacts recieved calls from recovery team and the member from Airtel spoke in bad language. To add to it, some of my contacts are receiving call from lawyers threatening to pay the bill or a court case will be filed. As per my knowledge I have not used my Airtel sim so much while in international roaming as I had another UK sim with me. I am not willing to pay this amount now as I do not trust Airtel now.. I am willing to pay the bill excluding the internet charge if this number can be activated again.
