Airtel — Billing without valid connection

My landline number is [protected] which also has an active internet connection.

This was a prepaid plan which i took by paying the advance rental of 6 months and it expired on 13th march 2020.

As it was a prepaid plan the services should have ended on 13th march 2020. But it did not and airtel fraudulently kept it active.

Airtel is still charging me even when there is a national lockdown in the country and therwcis no way one can have access to the services.

My concern is that when there was was no verbal consent of mine for the account to be active then why did airtel without my consent kept the account active and still charging me.

Almost all day i keep reciving the calls from airtel from many diffrent numbers and it is really a harassment.

I request the concerned authorities to take strict action against airtel.

How can a prepaid account be active after the tenure has been completed and automatically be converted into a postpaid account without any kind of consent from the customer.

The coonection itself is not valid and as soon as the prepaid time ended the company should have contacted me regarding keeping the action active or not.

All my efforts to dissconnect have failed as airtel first wants a payment for the non valid connection and then only accept the dissconnection request.

This is purely a fraud and such practices should be notified and my full bill be waived off as well as my connection should be discontinued.

A mail regarding the same has also been forwarded to gopal vittal the ceo of airtel but no response as of yet.

No response from AIRTEL till now.
What a pathetic customer support team the company has.
There should be a minimum response time window that company should follow regarding customer issues.

Recived a new alert for a new bill due for the month which is again more than the previous amount as new charges have been added.

No wonder there are so many complaints registered on this very forum regarding AIRTEL
