[Resolved] Airtel — Broadband closure fraud | |||||
Hi, I have been using AirTel connection for almost a decade. There service is excellent throughout, but when you close the connection, AirTel support is playing dirty tactics to bill more to customer and keep the connection alive. I was in Hyderabad earlier, I was told about the same, hence I made sure I go to the outlet and ensure it gets closed with due receipt. I have moved to Pune and now failed to goto the AirTel outlet and while I placed broadband connection closure in September time frame to "121" support. They acknowledged that they would be closing the connection. Later after a month I have realized they billed for a month hence I approached them again, I am told that they would close it in 24 hours. Still nothing happened, I placed my connection in safe custody to avoid any further charges. I have followed up with them several times, they have not been able to get me a final figure to close the connection. At the same time they are not taking the request to close the connection. In recent conversation with them I asked them to log the disconnection request even after escalation, they just don’t do it and forcing to pay higher amount although phone/broadband was unused since September 2016.
