[Resolved]  Airtel — Broadband Internet - Shifting Connection

I made a request to shift my internet connection on 27th August 2021, I got confirmation from Airtel that the Engineer will be there to shift the connection the next day (28th Aug); but no signs of an engineer on that day. No replies on social media as well. No communication from Airtel for the next 2 days. On Monday, I made a call to Airtel Customer Care, they said that the connection request was not created! I asked them to re-create it anyway. An engineer came that day, fixed a new modem, and said he was unable to connect to the internet. He asked me to wait as it seems to have some problem in the backend. He comes back in the evening saying there was some problem and the shifting connection request was "deleted" somehow, they weren't able to approve; so he asked me to re-create the shifting connection request. I again re-created the request through customer care. The engineer came the next day (Tuesday), said he's trying to resolve the issue from the backend and the connection will be up in the next 2 hours, I waited, nothing from the engineer. The engineer stopped picking calls at this moment. So, I re-created a new shifting request (4th time!!!) and a new engineer was assigned! He came and re-installed the modem, fiddled for an hour, tried to connect, and said the same thing, "Backend issue. Your shifting request is not getting approved. It will be done in 20 minutes". Then again, the new engineer stopped picking calls and didn't respond back. I am promised that the issue will be resolved on 1st September 9.30 AM (as can be seen in the attached screenshot) but still no luck. It's 3.30 PM on Wednesday 1st September today, 5 days since I shifted, after 4 shifting requests, 3 customer care calls, 2 engineers changed, 5 times the engineer coming to look at the issue, and countless social media promises; the issue is not yet resolved and I am still waiting for the promises to be fulfilled.

I am Working from Home and the internet connection is a must! Will Airtel pay me for the days I am losing to work? Will they pay me if I get fired due to their inefficiency? Please fix the issue asap.

Airtel people came after 4 days of complaining and 6 days after raising shifting request. The connection is now resolved.
Airtel customer support has been notified about the posted complaint.
