I had taken a Airtel postpaid broadband service. However, due to bad service, I wanted to close the account and I submitted a request for the same. I also paid the outstanding amount. This was on 19 April 2022 at their SD Road branch, Secunderabad. They submitted the request, asked for the OTP and also I paid the outstanding amount. However, the account was not closed. Post this, I submitted multiple requests, but nothing happened. I was shocked to get another AIRTEL bill and so I again went to the office and raised another request. They promised to send someone on 27th April. However, as usual, no one came.
It seems that Airtel indulges in such unethical practice of forcefully charging customers for the accounts that they wish to close by keeping the accounts live.
As I had submitted the request on April 19th, I refuse to pay the outstanding bill for this month, May 2022, This is totally fraudulent practice of AIRTEl. Was this information helpful? |
