[Resolved]  Airtel — Fraud by airtel agent and no action so far from airtel

On 11th May I applied for a wifi braodband service on airtel website. On 12th may I get a call from their so called agent telling me he can provide me a broadband connection og 14 to 16 mbps and offered to come home and collect all documents with installation charge of 1000 rupees.

I gave him my pan card, voters ID card and rental agreements as proof and also 1000 rupees towards installation. When I didnt get any msg from airtel confirming the receipt of my documents by 13th, I kept calling their customer care. THEY WERE OF NO HELP. they kept telling me it takes 24 hrs for registration. I was the only one convinced it was a fraud .. when I told their customer care its a clear case of FRAUD.. they had NO SOLUTION !! they kept transferring my call to concerned department which kept getting disconnected. After trying 4 times, I finally wrote on their twitter handle! They have so far not contacted me.

I finally went to the airtel store on Indiranagar 100 ft road Bangalore and the store manager there got me in touch with the channel manager of indiranagar. Its sad that he is the ONLY person who has tried helping me so far. He called all the agencies supplying agents to airtel, he also called my agent on his phone and his number and name is not registered with airtel at all.

Even the channel manager (SYED) agrees that it is a FRAUD. But since I didnt call any number to ask for airtel connection and applied on their website ... the FRAUD is happening from within airtel, who has sent agent to collect money from customers.

What is most appalling is its been 48 hours since the incident and I havent even got a call from their customer care to even attempt to solve the problem !!
