[Resolved]  Airtel — Got Cheated. After buying WiFi Dongle(of Rs2300), Now Airtel Store Asking Rs 1000 for getting Post paid Connection.

Hello, Please refer an attachment (enlarge the photo attached). With some hope I am mailing, for getting your support, I am sharing my grievance and this complaint against Airtel. A month back, I visited Airtel store at Cambridge layout near Sai Baba Temple, Bangalore, with my family to get Internet Data connection. Due to my office work I had to travel lot, and I wanted for my family to communicate with me, so needed this connection. 1. Airtel store suggested me to buy their Wifi Dongle and to take a post paid connection of Rs 650pm (They have this 3GB + 3GB offer etc). ((airtel number [protected]) 2. I paid Rs 2300/- there and took that white color Dongle. I have taken the documents - Adhar Card, Gas connection book, DL, Photo But the store took only the Adhar card Xerox and photo and filled the application. They said that we will get the connection within 24 Hours. 3. Airtel executive visited our home in Cambridge layout for Address verification. 4. We were waiting for the connection, and till date we are still waiting. Due to work I have to travel and I am out of country. I am following up with Airtel, but now they have been asking us to Pay Rs 1000 again for getting this connection activated. I am feeling cheated. I never mind paying this amount, but I am against this procedure, because while selling the Dongle and getting this post paid connection, they never mentioned that I have to pay Rs 1000 as advance "For Post Paid Connection". Now they are mentioning that my home address is some negative!!!. I asked what this meaning? but I never got the reply. Instead they are forcing me saying that If I need my connection activated, thay I have to pay them Rs 1000. I attached the proof. How can some one decide whether my address is negative or positive. If this is the case, they why did they sell the Dongle to me, they should check the address, before selling these devices? I am really not feeling good with all these follow ups, so now I want them to take the Dongle Back and refund my money. How can they force me for this payment, I am not able to justify? Please can you intervene and look into this matter. In case you need any details, then please let me know, even I can call and speak to the officer, no issue. Again, Please Note :-

1. Since One month I have been following with mail communication with "nodalofficer", "appellate" IDs.

2. They are continuously harassing us, saying that if you need the connection then you have to keep Rs1000 as security deposit.

3. Previously, When I visited your Airtel store at Cambridge layout, Bangalore store, they never mentioned about your security deposit etc... Instead they told that to buy this Dongle paying Rs2300 and immediately you will get your connection within 24 Hours. We have taken our Original IDs (Adhar card, SBI Address proof, Gas connection book with address, DL and photo). But they took only Adhar Xerox.

4. I was said that I have to pay Rs 650 monthly as post paid for this 3GB data (+ 3GB as some offer).





After few days of follow up, now they are saying that my address is Negative and so you have to pay Rs 1000. But Why Negative???? I have all documents in place !!!





I never guessed these harassment from Airtel, otherwise I might have not taken your connection. as I am using my Tata Photon connection, I might have taken the additional one.

I never faced these kind of issues in my past and never heard about something called Negative address and with this terminology, Airtel will be forcing us to keep money with them after selling their Dongle, knowing that after selling the device we cant do anything... isn't it ...?





​Again I want to make it very clear that I am not going to pay any security deposit, as it was not conveyed to me when I visited your store.





Either you have to give me this post paid connection, or else I have been asking to take my Device back and refund my money.





Overall, this is the most bitter experience that I am having, and I am not in town, else by now the situation might have been different for Airtel...

As I have been saying repeatedly that :-
1. When I visited your Airtel store, they never mentioned about this security deposit of 1000 etc... and I asked them clearly everything. Otherwise I might have not taken your connection. as I am using my Tata Photon connection, I might have taken the additional one.
2. We submitted the Xerox three times (a. During application, b. When your member visited our home; c. Again the store asked to come and submit the Xerox)

My concern is, before selling the dongle/device - why you guys don't mention all these things - that Airtel will raise some new concept of first saying Negative address and then asking for this Security deposit.

Again I want to make it very clear that I am not going to pay any security deposit, as it was not conveyed to me when I visited your store.

Either you have to give me this post paid connection, or else I have been asking to take my Device back and refund my money.

Overall, this is the most bitter experience that I am having, and I am not in town, else by now the situation might have been different for Airtel...
