[Resolved]  Airtel — Harrasment from Airtel Office for Bill Payment for Non-Usage

Dear Sir, I was holding an Airtel dongle (#[protected]). In the month of June'14 I had called Airtel customer care to cancel my connection as I was sure I will not continue this connection. They took the request and also said that I should not be cancelling my connection as i am a valuable customer and someone from their end will call me back. This never happened. I called them back after some days as there was a new bill generated. They gave me the same response and no one from Airtel called me back. The operators at Airtel have not registered a formal complaint to disconnect my number and they are blaming me for their shoddy work. The proof is the call records to the Customer care in the month of June and later. I have paid all my dues for the usage I have done and Airtel have been charging me inappropriately and they refuse to cancel my connection. Lately I have been receiving calls from their office stating that I would be sent a court notice If I fail to clear the dues. I have as of now received 4 calls from them asking me to pay atleast rs1000/- out of the 1785.40/-. I do not understand why I should be paying them for non-usage of their service. Finally after much heated debated with their officials and forcing them, they cancelled my service (#[protected]. Even after this, they have been calling me and stating that they will keep billing me till 6000/- INR and then file a court complaint. I would urge you to kindly take a look at this irrationality and provide a solution.

dude is it resolved or not i m also going on same kind of problem this airtel guys r u big cheater i have seen many complaint like this, thats why i have not cleared my dues i m asking them cancellation receipt with final settelment slip but they want to pay 1st. & then they will raise complaint of cancellation i know they again activate it & create bills.

Not yet, They said they will call me by 2:30 PM and they are yet to call me. I think we should take these folks to the court for harassing the users.
Thank you for forwarding the complaint. I called Mr.Vijay from Airtel, as directed by Airtel, he assured me to call me back by 17-Oct-2014, 2:30 PM after understanding the issue.

I did not receive any call from them. So i wrote back to the Airtel executive that Mr. Vijay is yet to call me. Immediately i get a call assuring that I will be called next as he was attending another customer. I wait and till this time, there has been no call.

This is the same delay that happened when i asked to cancel the connection and I am spending my valuable time running from pillar to post just to see who will resolve my concern because the executives think they can rifle the customer with intimidating statements.
