[Resolved] Airtel — Incorrect charge to the account and refusal to refund in a timely manner | |||||
Service = Airtel Digital TV Issue = Incorrect charge of iCooking Top up Desc: Without my consent, a Airtel agent activated a top up on my account on which extra balance was lying. Unknown to me, money was getting deducted from my account. This was activated I am told on June 5 2016. They don't know or wont tell, who activated it. I only discovered this issue when I visited my account to recharge my digital subscription on 17th october 2016. The agent I spoke to on phone told me I was charged 300 rupees and same will be refunded in 48 hours. When I did not see a refund, I wrote to them. Got many responses, the gist of which is, that they will refund 184 rupees only, and that because they issued me a 25 rupee refund as a goodwill gesture (for a different unrelated issue) on 23rd september, they cant issue another refund for next 30 days! Therefore I should call again after 23rd october. I DON'T UNDERSTAND HOW THEY CAN MAKE A MISTAKE ANYTIME AND TAKE MY MONEY ANYTIME, BUT THEY CAN'T RECTIFY THEIR MISTAKE AND REFUND ME MY MONEY, BECAUSE THEIR SYSTEM DOES NOT ALLOW THEM TO RECTIFY MORE THAN ONE MISTAKE A MONTH?
